Global Warming
These days the earth was hot. What really happened? Actually it is because the earth
temperature is increase each year. By the research, people called it as Global Warming.
Global Warming is not only a word, it is a problem that we need to solved it seriously or
they will destroyed our place, our home, our planet and our life.
Many things cause global warming. One thing that causes global warming is electrical
pollution. Electricity causes pollution in many ways, some worse than others. In most
cases, fossil fuels are burned to create electricity. Fossil fuels are made of dead plants and
animals. Some examples of fossil fuels are oil and petroleum. Many pollutants (chemicals
that pollute the air, water, and land) are sent into the air when fossil fuels are burned. Some
of these chemicals are called greenhouse gases.
Illegal logging is also one of causes global warming. For example, in our country,
Indonesia, illegal logging is most popular activity,especially in Kalimantan rain forest.
Many people, government or commoners like do it. Ironic, they know, if they cut trees
more and more, temperature of world will increase. Consequently, Earth to be hotter. But
no one care with this problem.
We cant denied that vehicles and industries pollution also make global warming happen.
We know that emission gas of industries and vehicles cause increasing of carbon dioxide
and air vapor in atmosphere which makes world temperature hotter, called greenhouse
effect.
Actually, the earth already told us that this planet is being hotter by a lot of signs. Such as,
Melting ice in the Arctic Ocean and on Mount Everest. As the ice caps melt, Global Mean
Sea Level rises. During the last century, levels rose between four and eight inches. While
this sounds bad, in the 21st century, the rate of rise could increase by up to 400 percent! In
Key West Florida, for example, the sea increases 2.2 millimeters on average each year. Not
only that, averaged over all land and ocean surfaces, global mean temperatures have
increased by approximately 1.33 degrees Fahrenheit (0.74 degrees Celsius) over the past
century.
If we keep letting these things continue to happen, the big problem will overwrite us. The
problem not only destroy us but also the plants, the animals, our next generations and of
course the universe. The Global Warming can cause allergies, cancer, and some new kind
of diseases that happened because of the hot planet to human. To plants, the global
warming make them hard to find oxygen, they need sunlight but the do not like a lot of
sunlight because it makes their ground dried. If their ground dried it means they also can
not get water from the ground, they also can not wait and hope for the rain because rain will

rarely come during this global warming. The most extreme effect to plants is global
warming can causes forest fire, which is means the plants will dead. We all knew that forest
are the lungs of the world. If all the forests dead, i can make sure that we are not going to
live much longer, we are all going to die , sooner or later. Is it possible to happen? I said,
yes it is.
Not only for human and plants, the global warming are also gave some effects to animals.
For example, In 2008, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service listed the polar bear as a
threatened species under the Endangered Species Act, the nation's primary tool for
conserving imperiled plants and animals. A threatened species is defined as likely to
become endangered in the foreseeable future. That polar bear problem is causing by their
home (Arctic) is melted and the melted area are increasing each year. Not only for polar
bear, the rising temperatures, rising sea levels and other trends are having an effect on the
worlds sea turtles. Six sea turtles are already on the endangered species list green turtles,
hawksbills, loggerheads, Kemps ridleys, Olive ridleys and leatherbacks. For the animals
who lived in forest, the global warming are also intimidate them too. Why do i say that?
Because in some forest, it is undeniable that illegal logging often happened. Surely this
causes the number of trees in the forest will decrease. If the trees are reduced, it means that
the habitat where they live and looking for food will also slowly destroyed and they will
dead too, because they can not survive.
So, what can we do to save our planet? At least to decrease the effect of Global Warming.
The first thing we can do is Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. What is reduce, reuse, and
recycle? Reduce waste by choosing reusable products instead of disposables. Buy products
with minimal packaging. Recycle paper, plastic, newspaper, glass and aluminum cans. By
recycling half of your household waste, you can save 1088kg of carbon dioxide every year.
The second way is use less heat and air conditioning, because of you are using too much
Air Conditioner, it can make a lot of CFC comes out and trapped on the atmosphere. The
third way is one people plant at least one tree. By plant trees, it can makes the plants
produce more oxygen. The fourth way is save electricity and reduce global warming by
turning off lights when you leave a room, and using only as much light as you need. And
remember to turn off your television, video player, stereo and computer when you're not
using them. It's also a good idea to turn off the water when you're not using it. There are
many way to save this planet.
So, what do you think now? What will you do after knowing all the facts about the global
warming? Do you want to live on a planet that full of natural hazards? Of course not, right?
So, let us together do the little things that will gave a big impact to our planet so all the
creatures who lives on this earth can live longer and happier. This all depends on you. You
who will determine whether the earth will be destroyed or not. So, until when we only keep
