Set Induction
(5 minutes)

1. Teacher shows a video entitled Make a Cake to pupils.


2. Pupils watch the video.
3. Teacher asks pupils what they could see in the video.
4. Pupils respond by giving their answers.
5. Teacher links the activity to the topic of the day.

Development:
Stage 1
(15 minutes)

1. Teacher places the pictures of the ingredient for the cake


around the class in hidden locations.
2. Teacher shows pupils the ingredients needed to bake a cake
using an lcd.
3. Pupils listen to the explanations
4. Teacher asks pupils to search for the hidden pictures.
5. Pupils who find the picture need to name the ingredient based
on what they have learned.
6. Teacher moves on to the next activity.

Stage 2
(20 minutes)

1. Teacher asks pupils to sit in groups of five.


2. Teacher gave each group a piece of mahjong paper and blank
papers to scribble on.
3. Pupils sit according to groups.
4. Teacher asks pupils listen and identify the ingredient used in
the recipe the teacher about to read.
5. Teacher reads the recipe to the class.
6. Pupils identify the ingredients.
7. Teacher reads the text once again.

8. Pupils identify the steps taken right from the beginning till the
end in the process of baking the cake.
9. Pupils write their answers and teacher compares the answers
in every group.

Stage 3
(15 minutes)

1. Teacher asks pupils to sit in a pair.


2. Each pair is given 2 minutes to prepare.
3. The pupils need to talk about their favourite cakes to their
partner.
4. Pupils need to mention the name of the cakes, the colour, the
taste and explain what is special about their favourite cakes.
5. The pairs are given 5 minutes to converse to each other.
6. The selected pairs need to present in front of the class.

Closure
(5 minutes)

1. Teacher asks pupils to stand up.


2. Teacher plays the song Make a Cake once again.
3. Pupils sing along to the music.
4. Teacher ends the lesson.
