Quick Installation Guide

Unplug the telephone cable (RJ11) from the ISDN telephone line socket and plug it into the ISDN
socket of the Splitter (Picture4).

Use a gray telephone cable (RJ11) to connect the LINE socket of the Splitter and the ISDN
telephone line socket.

Connect the DSL socket of the Router and the MODEM socket of the Splitter using an RJ11
telephone cable.

Connect your computer to the Router. A network card connection (Ethernet) is recommended for
your initial connection between the router and the computer. Connect the yellow Ethernet RJ45
cable to one of the 3 Ethernet ports of the router. ATTENTION: The fourth Ethernet port is used only
for a Set-Top-Box (STB) connection.

Connecting the cables

Place the installation CD in the CD-ROM drive.

The MENU appears. If it does not appear, double click My Computer and then right click Open in
the CD ROM. Then double click Setup.

Choose language (Greek/English) and press .

Choose Start Quick Installation.

You are in the Quick Install Wizard. Press Next.

Choose the product you have purchased and press Next.

Use the mouse to scroll down the Security and Regulation instructions, and double click I have
read and fully understood the security instructions and regulations. Press Next.

Installation of your Thomson Gateway. Press Next.

Steps 9 to 13 pertain to the Equipment Connection and are also given in the Quick Install Wizard
included in the box. In steps 9-10-11-12-13 press Next.

Configuring the Router

The Welcome to the Thomson Home Install Wizard page appears. Press Next.

Successive Scanning your computer and Checking your Thomson Gateway messages appear. In
the window internet Account Settings enter the USERNAME & PASSWORD that you have been
given with the purchase of conn-x. Press NEXT.
Note: The USERNAME should be followed by @otenet.gr (username@otenet.gr)

In the window that appears (Access Control) you can, if you wish (optional), lock your router by
entering a user name and password of your choice. ATTENTION: If you choose to lock your router,
you will have to write down your codes in case you forget them. Press Next.

In the window that appears (Wireless settings) you can change your wireless network settings if you
wish. For more information, please see the detailed instructions given in the CD accompanying the
Router. Press Next.

Press Finish. You are in the Basic Menu. Press Quit.


Note: If the operating system of your computer is other than Microsoft Windows (e.g. LINUX, MAC),
see the detailed instructions given in the accompanying CD.

To establish a wireless connection


To establish a wireless connection with the modem/router, you will have to place the wireless network
card (or a WiFi USB stick) in your computer and install it.. To adjust the wireless network card or WiFi
USB stick, see the accompanying instructions. The SSID code for your wireless connection is written
on the label under the Modem. When factory settings are on, the wireless connection security is
deactivated.

Change your user name and password


1. In case you want to change your User name and Password (you can change your User name only once
whereas you can change your password as many times as you want), start the Internet Explorer and type
http://www.oteshop.gr/myservices/myid in the address bar.
2. In the page that appears, follow the instructions.

ATTENTION
To ensure the security of the wireless network you will set up (e.g. between the computer and the ADSL-router)
and prevent unauthorized access to it, see the detailed instructions given in the CD accompanying the Router.
For more information, please refer to the users manual of both the WiFi USB Adapter and the ADSL-Router.

Additional information on settings


Visit the Router settings page by typing the following in the Internet Explorer address bar:
http://dsldevice.lan

Note:
1. If any device is connected to your telephone network (alarm,call center etc.), you should use another
ADSL filter or splitter. Please address to a specialized shop for the installation.
2. The equipment has one (1) year of guarantee from the date of its purchase.
