ORIENTACIONES
In this unit you can learn how to make statements using THE
VERB TO BE in affirmative, negative and interrogative form
.Be careful with the position of the Verb to Be.

You will make the difference between the articles A or AN


You will have the opportunity to practice a lot.
Memorize the vocabulary about places and use the
prepositions of place correctly.
Ask questions if it is necessary.

Negative - Contractions

REMEMBER!
We use there is (singular) / there are (plural) to say that
something is located in the place or exists:
e.g. There is a book on the desk. / There are many books on
the shelf.
We use there isnt (singular) / there arent (plural) to say that
something isnt located in the place or doesnt exist:
e.g. There isnt a book on the desk. / There arent any books on
the shelf.

We use Is there? (singular) / Are there...? (plural) to ask whether


something is located in the place or exists:
e.g. Is there a book on the desk? / Are there any books on the shelf?
