NORTH KOREA

Good morning all the tourists. Welcome to North Korea. Introduce my name is Jonny, I will
guide you all over in North Korea. I'll explain a little about this country. North Korea,
officially called the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (Hangul:
, Choson Minjujui Inmin Konghwaguk) is a country in East Asia, which includes
most of the northern Korean peninsula. The capital and largest city is Pyongyang. Korean
Demilitarized Zone into the boundary between North Korea and South Korea. Amnok River
and the Tumen River forms the border between North Korea and the People's Republic of
China. Some of the Tumen River in the northeast is the border with Russia. The locals call
this country Pukchosn (, "Choson North").

Pyongyang was the center of Christian activity in Korea before the Korean War. Now, four
state-supervised church here, where religious freedom is a special case for foreigners. Official
government statistics report that there are 10,000 Protestants and 4,000 Roman Catholics in
North Korea.
