Int. Brompton boxing gym

Extreme wide shot of the gym, from the stairs looking at the ring whilst Sparring
is happening inside of it.

Gym bell RINGS, while the sparring is continuing

What passing bells for these who die as cattle?

Medium close up, Grant is continuing sparring, he then catches slick with a body
shot, which moves them back to the ropes

Grant connects with a body shot, and slick falls back to the ropes (wide shot from
gym entrance door)

Only the monstrous anger of the guns.

Grant is giving slick body shots (wide shots and side medium close up shot)
Footage will parallel montage with Grant punching the wall pad (wide shot of
bag being used, then Medium wide, then close up)

Audio will fade in from boxing class
Wide shot of the gym from the top end next to the clock, looking down the gym
while gym class is training on the punch bags.

Only the stuttering rifles' rapid rattle

Whilst the class is training the shot will focus in on grant, as grant is on the bag
the shot will crop in on his gloves

Match on action cut

Grant is doing combos on a different punch bag, chain is rattling violently (ECU
to medium close up, then to wide establishing, then back to extreme close up on
bag combos and foot movement plus face)

Grant is still training on the punch bag

Parallel cut match on action

Grant will be doing pad work with Veron in the ring (wide shot from stair
case with boxing bag in the foreground, cut to shot from the side of the boxing
bag point of view, cut to medium close up from the side of the ring, going to close
up when they pause for a break)


Can patter out their hasty orisons.

Bell will ring while grant is doing pad work and he will lean on the ropes to rest
Grant will be leaning on the ropes in the gym with steam rising from his body
Audio from the boxing venue will fade in

Int. York Hall Boxing venue
(Grant will be sitting in the corner getting prepped for the next round)

No mockeries now for them; no prayers nor bells;

(Grant is sitting in corner being prepped for next round, bell rings to signal start
of round, he gets up and walks towards the centre of the ring to fight.)

As soon as the first punch is thrown (close up) will cut back to gym training

Match on action cut

Int. Brompton boxing gym

Grant gets off of the ropes from inside abc gym and continues pad work
connecting combos on the pad

Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs,

Grant is doing pad work with the voices from the fight motivating him. (Cut to
close up shot)
Parallel cut match on action

Int. York Hall Boxing venue

Grant inside the ring connecting a combo on his opponent (close up shots)

The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;

Grant is fighting inside ring and the crowd is cheering and screaming, his trainer
and manager are shouting commands at him.

Int. Brompton boxing gym

Grant is shadow boxing in the mirror

And bugles calling for them from sad shires.

Grant is jogging back and forth in the gym, as he touches the pad at the top of the
gym
Match on action cut
The rest of the gym will be jogging up and down the same route as Grant


What candles may be held to speed them all?

As the gym class reaching the end of the gym to do sit ups/ press ups

Cut

Grant is chasing Verron around in the ring jabbing towards his face

Not in the hands of boys, but in their eyes

Grant is still chasing Verron around in the right, but this time POV from Verron of
the action.

Cut POV underneath legs shot

Grant is catching the medicine ball whilst sitting on the ground
(With the fight sound overlaying footage)

Cut back to fight

Int. York Hall Boxing venue

Grant is inside the ring fighting (close up of game face, cut to medium wide of
fighting)

Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes.

End of the fight, winner is announced

The pallor of girls' brows shall be their pall;

Grant wins his fight and is covered with his Robe/veil

Their flowers the tenderness of patient minds,

Grants surrounded by his entourage as they celebrate
The camera will pan down into darkness and fade back into the gym to where it
started off

And each slow dusk a drawing-down of blinds.

Grant leaning on the rope steaming as the sound from the boxing hall is
continuing
Fade to Black
