Bajo el protocolo DiSEqC 1.2, el posicio-
namiento automático no requiere ningún
dispositivo adicional. Sin embargo, ope-
rando el motor bajo el protocolo DiSEqC 1.2
revela una debilidad de la memoria interior
que usa el motor. La memoria usada por
MOTECK, y que no es diferente de otros
fabricantes, tiene la capacidad para hasta
60 posiciones de satélite pero es inestable
ya que se anulan todas las entradas siempre
que el motor se restablezca. Esto significa
todas las posiciones del satélite guardadas
se pierden.
Pero éste no es el único problema de la
memoria. Sus primeras 26 posiciones con-
sisten en parámetros pre-guardados que,
desgraciadamente, no pueden usarse en
la práctica. Aparte del hecho que estos
valores están calculados para el meridiano Componentes individuales antes del montaje

receptores no tienen en cuenta el número

mente puede escribirse los datos del saté-
lite en orden ascendente.
Para tener un almacenamiento fuerte y
estable de los datos de la posición se debe
confiar por consiguiente en el receptor en
lugar del motor. Ésta es la única manera
de controlar el motor fiablemente órdenes
directas del protocolo DiSEqC 1.2 , Goto-
X. Algunos receptores DiSEqC 1.2 inclu-
yen una característica especializada en el
menú de Goto-X. Ahora, trabajan mejor
los receptores con DiSEqC 1.3 integrado o

Número 2 “ explica Niran orgullosamente.

esté impresa, la fábrica será totalmente
operativa”. Fábrica Número 1 está en sus
límites: hace simplemente unas semanas

ción de platos de un solo segmento.
“La fábrica Número 1 tiene un tamaño

de 2400 metros cuadrados; la fábrica
número 2 es de 2500 metros cuadra-
dos”, explica Niran. Mientras que la pri-
mera fábrica era propia de INFOSAT,
el segundo edificio es alquilado. “ Esto
ahorra en coste que yo uso invirtiendo
en nuevas maquinas”, revela Niran que
evalúa sus planes. Él pudo adquirir dos
maquinas de estampado adicionales de
un total de cinco, se usa para estampar
los agujeros requeridos en los rollos de
aluminio de 0.5mm de espesor para reali-
zar los segmentos de antena de malla.

El Nuevo DXer: En TELE-satélite regularmente se hacen

informes sobre DXer de satélite. Hasta
HDTV
ahora, esta categoría cubrió a todos
aquéllos que tienen la recepción del
satélite como una afición. Ahora existe
una nueva categoría: ¡el DXer de HDTV!
Estos tan sólo están interesados en
canales de HDTV en DVB-S2, y nada
más. Nosotros nos encontramos en
Beijing con uno de los primeros de
estos DXer de HDTV extrañamente
bastante especializado, o quizás ésa
es la razón de su afición. La recepción

Lattelecom reported a fourfold increase in subscribers to its IPTV
service Lattelecom TV during 2008 and also recently secured the rights
to operate an MPEG4-based DTT service in the country. Although
it has not revealed subscriber figures for its IPTV service, launched
in April 2007, the company also reports that income from interactive
TV services increased by 517% in 2008. Lattelecom recently started
expanding its new FTTx-based “Future Network”, which will deliver
Internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps, with customers in Zolitūde (a
suburb of Riga, the capital of Latvia) already receiving these speeds.
In the future, Internet speeds will be increased to 10 Gbps, and the
new network is to be expanded to the neighbourhood of Ķengarags
(another suburb of Riga), and then to other parts of the capital and
across other major cities in Latvia. The operator aims to offers DTT
services on a commercial basis and throughout Latvia from this autumn.

Portugal Telecom added 110.000 new customers to its IPTV service
Meo in the fourth quarter of 2008 to reach 312.000 by year-end. The
success of its TV offer can be seen in the decelerating loss of its fixed-
line subscribers and in the growth of customers for its flat fee broadband
services, with around 50% of new IPTV subscribers in 2008 being
entirely new customers for Portugal Telecom. Furthermore, the operator
reports a 42.9% penetration rate for its IPTV service within its ADSL
customer base as a whole. Portugal Telecom also reports that VOD has
proved to be a key asset, with 45% of Meo customers paying to access
the VOD library in 2008, watching an average of 2.8 movies per month.

usual satellite receivers are then easily found.
But also in our modernised world, landlords or local
authorities often don’t accept satellite dishes for
