How to Complete the Needs Analysis

This needs analysis lists a variety of skills commonly needed by leaders in organizations. Each statement describes a different
interpersonal behavior, which corresponds to one or more training courses that may be recommended for you.

The Leadership Needs Analysis Self Report contains a list of 27 statements under 2 categories. Think about your job and complete
the needs analysis. For each question, the first set of responses allows you to rate the importance of the described skill to your job.
The other set allows you to rate your present level of ability for that skill. Read each statement, and then circle the number in each
category based on the following scales:

1. Importance of the Skill to the Job

2. Present Level of Ability

1 = Not at all

1 = Not proficient at all

2 = To a small extent

2 = Minimally proficient

3 = To some extent

3 = Somewhat proficient

4 = To a great extent

4 = Very proficient

5 = To a very great extent

5 = Role model of the skill
