ii)
If the student desires to change the optional subject in 3rd year, after a stipulated
time, he / she has to pay Rs. 1000 per each subject (including 2nd year).
iii)
The student, before changing the Optional Subject must be careful and observe the
guidelines for awarding Degree. He / she has to pass all the four papers of the
changed subjects in II & III years.
iv)
Change of optional subjects is entertained only once in the maximum period allowed
for the completion of the programme.
Further, they are free to change any of the three old optionals ie., either all or two or one.
However, the student even if he wants to change one, the remaining two old optionals
must also be selected once again along with the new optional. If the student wants to
change all the three optionals, he / she must select all of them afresh, one by one. It is to
be noted that fee will be charged for the new optionals only. It may also be noted that
those students who paid tuition fee of II / III years alone are permitted to change the
optionals. Further to clarify that, the students who paid II Year tuition fee are permitted
to change only II Year optionals and those of II and III Year fee, are allowed to change
both II and III Year optionals. The students must note that they are free to change
optionals either after payment of II Year fee or during the course of II Year study or after
payment of III Year fee or during the course of III year study. However, the students are
instructed that if they want to change optionals after II Year, they have to write the
examinations of I and II papers of changed optionals. If at all they wanted to change
after III year, they need to write the examinations of I, II, III and IV papers of changed
optional. Remember that optional change permitted only in subjects where the candidate
either wrote them and failed or did not write them at all. Change of optional is not
permitted in those subjects where the candidate has already passed. In essence, the
students should write same optionals both in II Year and III Year. For example, if a
student choose to study Economics, History and Political Science in II Year, must also
study the same subjects in III Year.
While choosing the optionals one by one, the student must observe the optionals displaying on the screen and choose carefully. Thereafter, click on submit and take a print out of
it. The print out comes with an application number with the amount of fee payable for the
change of optionals. Then the candidate shall pay the fee at A.P. Online on the application number. Only after payment of fee, the optionals will change. The students can
change all optionals, except science, from 1st January to 31st March. However, all
optionals, including science, will be changed from 1st June to 31st December subject to
rules in practice. The students who wish to change their optionals from Arts & Commerce to science, shall get their eligibility assessed by the coordinator of the respective
study centre. For this purpose, the student should take a print out of application from the
university portal on his admission number after entering the proposed science subjects.
Only after determining the eligibility by the coordinator, the student should pay the fee at
AP Online based on the SMS received by him. Only after payment of fee, the subjects of
the student will change in the database.
Change of Medium / MIL - Online
In order to change the Medium / MIL, the student has to enter into the University portal
ie., braouonline.in. The Home Page opens. Click on the link change of Medium / MIL.
The application will appear on the monitor. The pre-condition to change the medium is
that, the candidate should not have passed all the papers, except 'English and MIL', at the
time of applying for such change. The students must also remember that the subjects /
papers already passed will not be changed.
If you want to change the medium, first click on check box and then click on drop
drown list. Select the medium from among the drop list and click on 'Update'. The
medium will change. Take a print out of it and pay the fee on the application number at
the A.P. Online Center. On payment of fee, the medium will automatically change in the
database.
19
Similarly, for change of MIL, click on check box first and then drop down list next.
Select the MIL from among the list of MILs and click on 'update'. Take a print out of it
and then pay the requisite fee at A.P. Online center. On payment of fee, the MIL changes
