Christmas Schedule
As we continue to get ready for
Christmas, we want you to
keep in mind that everything you
need to know can be found on
our website,
www.staugustinebarberton.org
Weve added a special section
just for Christmas. Just look in the
toolbar and click on the
Christmas link. This will show you
the Mass and Reconciliation
Times. Also, the Parish Calendar
of Events is posted so you know
what is happening around the
Campus and the Liturgical
Minister Schedules are posted so
you know if you are scheduled to
serve Mass.
Also, keep an eye on your inbox,
as we will periodically email
everyone about the events we
have planned around our
campus.
We look forward to serving with
you during this most wonderful
time of the year! Merry
Christmas.

What a Joyful Noise!

A special thanks to everyone from our parish who helped
with the Christmas Walk this past Saturday. St. Augustines
began our preparations for Christmas by hosting a cookie,
cocoa, and chili booth on the Rectory lawn and by hosting
a Christmas Concert in our Church. Many hands helped
make that day possible and whether what you did was big
or smallthank you for everything you did to make our first
Advent event so special. Pictures in this newsletter are from
the Christmas Walk and the Church.

Pardon our Construction

You will notice that work is being done in the St.
Monica Gift shop. The gift shop is being renovated
and it will become a media and information center.
This is being done through a bequest in honor of Tom
and Pat Brescilli who had a great love of learning
about, and passing on, our Catholic Faith. Please
bear with us during this time of construction.

Around our Campus

With so many things happening around our campus,
take a moment to see a few of things that have already
happened and learn about a few things that will be
happening shortly.

RCIA
WELCOME to the men and women who were
received into the order of catechumens during the
10:30 Mass on November 30, the First Sunday of
Advent. In the months to come they will prepare for
their initiation into the Christian faith by Baptism,
Confirmation and Eucharist.
We also greet those who are already one with us by
Baptism and now wish to complete their Christian
initiation through Confirmation and Eucharist or to be
received into the full communion of the Catholic
Church.
The catechumens from St. Augustine are Justin
Lance, Lisa Swain and Ashley Willig. Our candidates
are Tami Howell, David Humphrey and Chris White.

Preschool News!
The preschool is thriving and doing well! We
have many events in December that our
children will be enjoying and participating in.
The annual Food Drive was a wonderful success
and the children enjoyed bringing in food items
and learning about giving to others. Our
Preschool Feast was November 26th and each
classroom contributed a special food or craft
that they have created. Our annual Christmas
Program is scheduled for December 5th. Our
Toddlers and Preschoolers share the stage as
they dazzle the audience with Christmas carols!
The month of December will be brimming with
Christmas spirit as the children learn about St.
Nicholas, Santa Lucia, Los Posadas and of
course our Lords birthday.
