Artifact 1 The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead is by far one of my television series that comes on AMC. This
show does specifically focuses on a group of people who are trying to survive in a
zombie-apocalypse. We see the journey the people had to go through before the
apocalypse began. The main character of the show is a man by the name of Rick Grimes.
He was a sheriff who is married to a woman named Laurie and he had a son named Carl.
The show starts off with Rick and his party Shane chasing a crook on the highway. The
crook crashes his car then starts shooting at Rick, Shane, and the other policemen that
were there as well. Rick turned his back for a few seconds and got shot in his torso.
Shane shot the crook, and then Rick fell in to a coma while being rushed to the hospital.
Once Rick woke up he discovered that the hospital was abandoned. Not one person was
in the hospital. As Rick walked out outside, he discovered bodies lying all over the
ground. All Rick could think of was to find his family.
Rick did eventually find his family with the help of other survivors. As seasons go
on it seemed that survival was becoming more difficult. Rick found out that his partner
Shane had been sleeping with his wife and Shane wants to kill Rick in order to be with
Laurie. Long story short, Rick actually killed Shane when he found out he was being set
up to die. For awhile now, Rick and the other survivors were staying on farm owned by a
wise old man named Hershel. Hershel had two daughters named Beth and Maggie. After

the incident with Shane, Hershels farm was overrun with zombies forcing them to find
another location. As many more seasons came, many more survivors had perished
including Laurie who was trying to give birth. Rick and the survivors not only had to face
zombies but theyve also had to face live human beings.
I have to say that this show is very good because after watching it, I can feel how
the characters feel on the show. Honestly I believe if a zombie apocalypse were to ever
occur it would look very similar to The Walking Dead. Plus Ive never seen a zombie
film so intense like this show. It makes you feel like you are in the shoes of the characters
on the show.
Lets be real people will lose their minds if this zombie apocalypse were to ever
happen, because some of the characters on the show have lost their minds. It brings
another level of intensity. One specific episode that was shown a few weeks ago was
when a ten-year-old girl killed her eight-year-old sister. This episode by far shocked
many viewers because the audience would have never expected something like that. Then
one of the adults had to kill the ten-year-old. Its a lot of the things in this television
series that would never expect to see in normal television shows. To be honest, The
Walking Dead has for sure raised the level of violence in media. I wouldnt recommend
this to young children since there is so much violence displayed in this show. Plus this
show is very graphic and goes way beyond of just showing blood. I would say if you
have a week stomach, then you most certainly should not watch this show because
everything little thing. However, I feel like the producers dont do too much censoring is
because they showing the reality of how the characters have to live and what all they
have to go through.

This television series honestly would be hard to integrate with faith since
humanity is on the edge of extinction. You not only see people killing off zombies but
you will also see people killing people in order to survive. So the trust levels and the tool
of love is becoming more dissipated, and now the murder has drastically increased since
there is no organized civilization. If I were in this situation, I would for sure would still
trust God. I thought about it carefully, and I told myself that just because everything has
gone completely wrong, that doesnt mean that there isnt a God. Besides Rick still shows
attitudes of hope, forgiveness, and courage. He has had to face things far beyond our
imagination, and still finds a reason why he, his family, and the other survivors must live.
