Course Description:
This workshop is designed to complement the Neuroanatomy class lectures. It is a
weekly review session run by the Teaching Assistant, Ms. Taban Seif.
Course Objectives:
1. The student will be able to locate and identify major brain structures on brain
atlas plates, MRI, CAT, and PET scans.
2. The student will understand and appropriately use neuro-medical terminology.
3. The student will have an understanding of neural control of sensory systems
and the related neuroanatomical structures.
4. The student will have an understanding of neural control of motor systems and
the related neuroanatomical structures.
5. The student will have an understanding of neural control of integrative systems
(i.e. learning, memory, endocrine) and the related neuroanatomical structures.
Knowledge Outcomes:
1. The applicant must demonstrate knowledge of regional anatomy of the human
brain.
2. The applicant must demonstrate knowledge of functional anatomy of the
human brain.
3. The applicant must demonstrate the ability to identify major brain structures
on brain atlas plates.
4. The applicant must demonstrate knowledge of neuroanatomical control of
sensory, motor, and integrative systems.

Student Evaluation:
Grading is based upon participation, in order to participate you MUST be present,
therefore, attendance in this course is MANDATORY.
