Lucas and I thank you for your prayers during our mission trip to
Burundi in East/Central Africa. This was a church planting with
medical component. Our team consisted of 22 people, 9 of which
participated in the church planting component, and the remaining
13 were part of the medical team which includes doctors, nurses,
medical assistants, and a pharmacist.

He gave us compaction, boldness and words of encouragement and

comfort as we encountered people living in poverty, abusive situations, and
addiction to alcohol. He protected us against the enemy.

I also thank you for your prayers as God gave me patience, wisdom, discernment, and safe as
Herve and I visited the Gatumba Assistance to War Orphans Project and L’Ecole La Science to
deliver school supplies and traveled to Karusi Province place where FBCW will be implementing
a Community Center.

It was a joy to see God answering your prayers for the teacher openness and desire to share
the Word of God with the students and orphans as they received Bibles in their native tongue
(Kirundi) and were eager to share with students.

As you prayed God provided opportunities for us to clear share the gospel with 80 students at
L’Ecole La Science school, we witness ALL kids accepting Jesus as Savior.

God provide contacts and meetings with pastors and government officials in order to plan
accordingly with needs that needs in Karusi region and for future e3 campaign in Burundi.

Only through your prayers we had steam and perseverance to complete the work ahead of us.
Yes God provide “oasis” of rest for us in Bujumbura.

God protected our whole team while we were there and returned us all home safely. We are all
rejoicing for the great work of transformation that God is doing in Burundi. Thank you to those
of you who prayed for us; you were as much a part of our team as if you were there with us.
You are greatly appreciated!

Thursday – November 26th

We delivered school supplies and closes collected sent by

First Baptist Church Windermere (FBCW) members at
Gatumba Assistance to War Orphans Project (G.O.W.O.P.)
for the 35 orphans that live in a 2,600 SqFt building without
water neither power. This is the same orphanage that FBCW
is assisting.

We prayed with kids and explain importance to know that God

is our provider. We emphasized that those school supplies
where delivered in the Name of Jesus.

Friday – November 27th

We visited Parables Clinic at Burundi Parables Christia

Church of Rweza. This is same location where we had
medical clinic during e3 campaign and FBCW have helped
with construction of clinic building.

There is a great opportunity to develop and implement water

system filtration. This could be The Answer id Love Ministry
(TAIL) prototype project to be used as a model in others
regions in Burundi and other countries. I have filmed and took
pictures of the situation.

Saturday – November 28th, 2009

Gabriel (first on the left), Auzelio, Sylvestre (Karuzi

Province Governor), and Herve travelled to Buhiga
location where the Burundian government has allocated
the FBCW land to build the Community Center. We
visited the “promise land” that is located and saw the
needs as well as presence of other religions.

Sunday – November 29th

I was invited to attend Burundi President Palace

prayer, praise, and preaching time. It was almost
three hours of worship, preaching, prayers, and
traditional Burundian dinner.

He is serious about praying for Burundi and

Burundians. It was an amazing experience.
Monday – November 29th

We delivered school supplies donated by The Answer is Love

ministry to L’Ecole La Science. This school is close to Pastor
Avite church – Beteri Church (he is e3 committee member). It
was Pastor Avite who brought this opportunity to Herve and
The Answer is Love.

While we were there we presented the Gospel for 80 students

all of them prayed to receive Christ. I talked with then about
our Heavenly Father as our provider.

Bible Society in Bujumbura

It was blessing delivering to L’Ecole La Science

 Principal Godeliva Nzirarera and her assistant
Bibles in Kirundi (local language). Praise the Lord!!!

Since we did not have Bibles when visited orphanage on

Thursday, after purchasing Bible we went to visit Pascol
Ntahotlvukiye orphanage Representant Legal at the
Bujumbura market.

Pascol (the one in the middle) manufactures and sales

soap to support the orphanage. He is a humble man. It
was touching see him giving soap to Pastors Avite and
Joseph as we arrived at his place at the Bujumbura
market. He sent his wife to purchase water for us…

This really touched my heart.

Bucket – Water Filtration System

Next we went to Pastor Jeremi Ndayishimiye’s church (New

Life Church) and delivered the bucket (water filter system) to
Dieudonne Ngamira

They are considering start using those divises to bring pure

water to their members’ houses.
