Performance Notes (for the curious):

- The first section, up until bar 17, should be slow and even. The word "thoughtful" comes to mind.
- At 17, play strong bass notes with lighter chords. In the right hand when there are several notes at once, be sure to bring the melody out.
- Measure 33: a written out improvisation begins. Feel free to repeat that section for your own improv.
- The last page is the final chorus. Octave bass notes should be played heavy and loud (still keep the melody firmly in control of the sound, however).
At 57 things cool down a bit and then at 61 dynamics and feeling keep things strong. At 65 let the song drift out until the end.
