Forallusers,theNationalInstrumentsDownloaderwillaskforadirectorytosavetheinstallerfile.Choosewhicheverdirectory
youwanttodownloadtheMultisimInstallerto.TheDownloadsfolderisrecommendedforthis.

ThisisanexecutablefilethatcontainstheinstallerfortheProfessionalorEducation(dependingonwhichyouchoseto
download)editionofMultisim.Youcanpausethisdownloadandresumeitatalaterpointintime.Thedownloadspeedwill
varydependingonyourinternetconnectionspeedandlocation.
Afterthedownloadfinishes,selectOpenFolder.

Thiswilltakeyoutowherethe.EXEfilewassaved(orgotothefolderwhereyousavedthedownload).

Ifyouclosedorcanceledtheinstallation(whetheronpurposeorbymistake)youcanreturntotheinstallationbynavigatingto
yourNationalInstrumentsDownloadfolderinyourCdrive,openingtheNICircuitDesignSuitefolder,anddoubleclickingon
autorun.exe.

4.MultisimforthosewithanEvaluationDVD.

Ifyoudownloadedtheinstallerfromthewebsite,pleaseskipthisstepandgotoStep5.IfyouhavetheEvaluationDVDforNI
Multisim,insertitintoyourcomputer.
Asplashscreenwillsometimesappearautomaticallydependingonyourwindowssettings.ClickonRunautorun.exeoption
aftertheAutoPlayscreenappears.Ifthewindowdoesnotappear,gotoyourComputer,anddoubleclickontheDVDdrive
whichshouldcontaintheNIlogo.AfterthesplashscreenforNICircuitDesignSuiteappears,clickonInstallNICircuitDesign
Suitexx.x.

TheInstallationFeaturespagewillaskyouwhatyouwanttoinstall.IftheinstallerdetectsLabVIEWinyoursystemandyouare
planningontryingthecosimulationcapabilitiesonMultisimatsomepoint,thenlettheinstallerinstalltheplugins(forthe
currentandanearlierversionofLabVIEW).

Fortheacademicusers,youwillgettheextraNIELVISplugin.Itisrecommendedthatyouclickontheleftofthefeatureand
selectDonotinstallNIELVISmx4.x.ThiswillonlyworkifyouhaveanNIELVISunitwithyou,andcanbeinstalledseparately
withtheNIELVISinstallation.SelectNext>>toproceed.
Youcansearchforupdatesincaseyoursoftwareisnotuptodatebycheckingthebox.
