way of life. Cutting edge industry has brought people facilities and advances.

contamination since they influence us as an individual as well as towards the
greenery. Contaminations influence us physically and profoundly furthermore the
cutting edge later on. Living in dirtied environment will uncovered us as a person to
ailments. Nowadays, many solution to this environmental issues have been done, it
just we should constantly doing that to reduce or prevent the pollution to become
worst. Individuals ought to mindful about the issue and help their exertions by
decreasing flippant action that can result in mischief to the earth. The fight must
happen to instruct the adolescent about how vitality to live in unpolluted environment
as it will help them to admire the paramount thing to us as the individual which is
charming environment.

Introduction of the Environmental Problem

Typically, environmental problems known as the biological expression of

illness of human actions since the root causes of serious environmental problems are
human in origin (Miller. A, 2003). The environmental problems become worse day by
day. Global warming, the ozone hole, rain forest destruction, desertification, the
greenhouse effect, all kinds of pollution, weather breakdown, and natural disasters are
the symptoms of this catastrophe phenomena. Pollution will be covered in this case
study since they are the major crisis towards this dilemma.
Pollution becomes an issue of concern in our world that we live in today
resulted from the human activities. There are various types of pollution, namely air,
water, land, light, thermal, visual and noise. Pollution in our environment will affect
our lifestyle. According to the dictionary, air pollution is the contamination of air by
smoke and harmful gases, mainly oxides of carbon, sulphur, and nitrogen (Houghton.
M, 2014). It is caused by the emission of toxic gases from vehicles, factories and open
burning. Nowadays, people tends to have their own cars since having own

transportation fulfil their preference to have a better life instead by taking a public
transport. Besides, the price of cars nowadays become cheaper than before thus, help
peoples to afford them. Unfortunately, the air around us is getting more polluted by
the carbon dioxide that is emitted from the transportation. Carbon monoxide is
another type of gas which is harmful to the environment as it can cause the reduction
of oxygen in the bloodstream. Another example of contributor to the air pollution is
the manufacturing factories. Factories release toxic gases to the environment
generated from heat and energy. Some factories also use coal to generate heat and
energy. An open burning also becomes one of the factors since people still practicing
this activity to get rid of their household waste.
Land pollution is the degradation of the Earth's surface caused by a misuse of
resources and improper disposal of waste. The best example of land pollutions are
litter found on the side of road and illegal dumping in natural habitats. This activity
can be proven by the irresponsible people who only think about themselves rather
than thinking of possible outcomes that will affect other living things. While for water
pollution is the contamination of any body of water and this pollution can be seen
trough illegal dumping of substances, industrial waste spills and biological
contamination such as bacteria growth. The marine life is the first to suffer from water
pollution as they depend on the nutrients in the water to survive.
Noise pollution is another form of pollution where any loud sounds that are
either harmful or annoying to humans and animals took place. It is come from
construction or demolition noise and also motor vehicles. Light pollution is the
brightening of the night sky inhibiting the visibility of stars and planets by use of
improper lighting of communities. Light pollution comes from unnecessary lights
especially at home. Light pollution that uses more energy effect human health and our
sleep cycle. Thermal pollution is increase in temperature caused by human activity
and visual pollution is anything unattractive to the landscape.

Results
Modern industry has brought humans facilities and progresses. However, they
made us pay a lot and the highest price is environmental pollution since they not only
affect us as a human being but also towards the flora and fauna. Pollutions affect us
physically and spiritually and also the next generation in the future. Living in polluted

environment will exposed us as a human being to diseases. It does affect our breathing
problems since from the finding, it is mention that the rate of lung disease is always at
a high rate. The major factor of breathing problem is the haze from the air pollution.
Figure 1 below shown the Air Pollution Index (API) of every state in Malaysia during
the haze problem in June 2013 and most places of unhealthy status is in a big town
such as in Kuala Lumpur.

Water pollution also a huge problem as the human activities has robbed the
beautiful sea corals and unique species of fishes. Besides ruining our marine heritage,
the disappearance of marine life will affect the livelihood of fishermen and also our
source of food. It is caused by harmful waste from industries which are dumped into
our sources of water such as rivers and lakes. This irresponsible act will contaminate
our drinking water and can cause serious health problems and also can lead us to the
death. Figure 2 below shown the view of nature before and after the dumping of
industrial waste took place and the nearby lake located a stones threw away from the
industrial site.

The large scale production of plastic-based waste has become a global

problem in terms of both cost and ethics (Wang et al., 2009). Plastics commonly
made from organic and inorganic material such as carbon, silicon, hydrogen, nitrogen,
oxygen and chloride. The basic materials used for making plastics are extracted from
oil, coal and natural gas. These problem cause worried and dilemma that leads to land
pollution and visual pollution. As the result, they can cause harm to our health by the
food we eat which may be planted in polluted soil. Animal likes rats, cockroaches and
flies attracted to the garbage and most of them will transfer diseases to the human
being by touching the humans foods. Besides that, the plastic disposal problems also
produce a catastrophic phenomenon of white pollution (Dongping, 2011).
White pollution shown in Figure 3 refers to solid waste that comes from the
usage of various types of life plastic products. They are commonly made by
polystyrene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other polymers. . White
pollution comes into two pollution hazards which are visual and health. According to
Purshotaman (2014), visual pollutions refers to the plastic bags and anything that
made up from the hardly dispose materials that can be found scattered in the
environment and affect the naturals beauty. The health hazard of white pollutions is
refers to long term and deep seated environmental problems. This white pollution may
lead to the worsening of the soil which affects the crop growth. The degradation cycle
of current plastics is at least 200 years in general (William, 2011).

Besides that, noise from heavy machinery and vehicles can cause hearing
problems or deafness. As there is growing number of vehicles on the road, people are
exposed to noise pollution every day. People not aware that noise also can create
pollution. In fact noise gives the negative mental factors to people because no one
wants to work or live in noisy and dirty place. This situation make people irritate and
unpleasant to continue living.

Discussion
Industry is searching for answers for the air contamination issue. The best
arrangement would be to quit smouldering fossil powers all together yet at this point
we have no different choices. Researchers are attempting approaches to eliminate
contamination. One path is to wash the coal before they smoulder it. Washing it takes

All the polluted water will go to the treatment centre before undergo several
treatment process. The first treatment called screening process where this process
removes substantial items like bottles and plastic that may square or harm the
