A Message From Our Founder:
In life we all dream of being part of something biggerchanging the world, making it a better place
for our children. I learned firsthand and at a young age that the path to positive change runs through
the classroom. Individually, intellectually, and in our communities, a quality education has the power to
lead us from dark places and disadvantaged circumstances to brighter, better, and more sustainable

futures. As a student success story, a mother, and a lifelong educator, my mission isnt just to get
involved with education, but to solve one of its most serious problems: the achievement gap. It is a sad reality that minority
students in America are statistically less likely than their peers to do well in the classroom. These students fall short not
because they dont care, but because they often lack the resources to get the education they deserve. That needs to change,
and thats why I founded OASIS Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the space and
resources students need most for those who receive them least. In 2015 OASIS will provide professional tutoring and
guidance, free of charge, to three students who demonstrate exceptional financial need and academic ability. We are ready
to launch, but we need your help. Will you join the fight against educational inequality?

I believe in the mission of OASIS. I got involved because
I saw a real need in the community, and Zenas approach
