In Spanish, nouns have gender they can be________________________or

does not mean that the noun itself is a boy or girl.
Masculine nouns will ALMOST always end in_____
9

Ex. Libro, cuaderno, and bolgrafo are masculine.

Feminine nouns will ALMOST always end in _____
Ex. Carpeta, hoja, and cabeza are feminine.
However, there are some exceptions.
Ex. Da is masculine and mano (hand) is feminine
Lapiz is masculine, but nariz (nose) is feminine.
Some words end in the letter e like estudiante. These can be either masculine or
feminine. There are many words however that dont end in o or a to remember the
gender of these nouns we use LONERS and DIONZA.
If a word ends in the letter L O- N- E- R or S , it will almost always be masculine.
***Note words that end in s that are masculine are words that naturally end in an s
not plural words. For example the word mes (month), is a word that naturally
ends in an s, and is masculine.
If a word ends in D ION Z-A it will almost always be feminine.
Again, some words are exceptions, and have to be memorized, like el lapiz even
though it ends in Z, it is masculine.
Agreement In Spanish the noun calls the shots, and everything else must agree with the noun.
Articles and adjectives must agree with the nouns they describe in both
_______________ and _______________
Gender agreement means that you use a ______________article (el, los) with a
masculine noun, and a____________________article (la, las) with a feminine noun.
Number agreement means that if a noun is singular, so is your article or adjective. If
it is plural, your articles will be plural as well.

tell?
