RF drive test engineer is an engineer who deals with the testing and validation of RF drives.

The job profile of an RF drive test engineer include setting up drive test routes, testing RF
devices characteristics, troubleshooting issues, conducting root cause analysis, conducting
drive testing, and developing testing procedures. It is mandatory for RF drive test engineer
to have sound knowledge of network and communication systems.
RF test engineer is a testing engineer who is assigned with the tasks of planning testing
strategies of radio frequency. The job profile of a RF test engineer includes analyzing,
debugging, and testing the prototypes of radio circuits, hardware and software features. The
main task of a RF test engineer is to test the operating devices of radio frequency. RF test
engineer requires sound knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and the application of
physical sciences. Designing, installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of RF
are some of the essential job responsibilities of a RF test engineer

Compile and submit radio addition requests to National team twice a month. Once
validated, submit to Change Control Board for approval in order to get the final requests
implemented.
Help RF team in identifying new sites as RF solution to sites which have reached
maximum capacity on number of carriers per sector.
Run predictions and prepare coverage plots to get GSM coverage with and without new
sites using Forsk Atoll software.
Detect & Mitigate RF interferers that affect network performance (iDEN, CDMA,
EVDO).
Re-banding: provide RF support for reallocation of the EMSR spectrum.
Carrier deployments: identifying trouble areas, ordering materials, & organizing
equipment installation.
Special events: planning, optimization, deployment of temporary cell sites for events.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer tickets.
Drive testing: post processing & presenting data.
Address public safety issues.
FCC compliance: MPE calculations, EME surveys, E911.
BDA & DAS systems: troubleshooting, site surveys, donor allocation, interference
analysis
