Date:

Course/Teacher:

Cory Kerr
Program(s)/Tools:
Photoshop
Objective:
To successfully master blending and masking on Photoshop.
Process:
I thought of three different things that went together. I first thought
of rain, which led to umbrellas, and then I thought of lightning. So I
searched for these things in three different photos that would work
together. I first blended the umbrella picture and the lightning for
the background. I then added a rain texture for all over the photo.
After I had completed blending the three pictures together I added a
quote that fit with the rain that I found on Pinterest.

I doodled a lot on scratch paper. I even used business cards I had
in my wallet from other companies as a starting design. I looked
on Pinterest for other ideas and continued doodling. Eventually
I settled on two different ideas and began to create the logo in
Illustrator. After I completed the giant pin logo I started working
in InDesign to make the business card.

Process:
After I had my business card created I took the same similar
outline to create a letterhead. I decided to keep the two red lines
and use them as the baseline for my header. I enlarged the pin I
created in illustrator and placed it into the Indesign letterhead that
I had to add an accent.

Objective:
To use all the skills I have learned so far in my visual media class and
apply them to create a brochure.
Process:
I sketched out a bunch of different logos. Once I decided on one I
decided on which brochure layout I wanted. I drafted out where to
put things on my brochure. Then later I went in and added the content; opening paragraph, explanations, and games. I then searched
on Google for images that went with my design. After I had it all
worked out I had it critiqued. Once it was critiqued I deleted and
then added some more content.

my sketches to life on PhotoDesign. I Googled a quote that dealt
with the wind and added it to my design.

Course/Teacher:
COMM 130 Visual Media

Program(s)/Tools:
InDesign
Objective:
Using word to create professional looking messages.
Process:
To begin the project I sketched out a bunch of different designs.
I then picked my favorite and began to bring my idea to life on
InDesign. I added a few things to my design as I was created it, like
the triangles for repetition. I organized the proximity of the words
so they all in the same area, rather than scattered about the flier. I
messed around with the sizing and contrast of the picture and the
leading of the words so that there would be enough white space. I
aligned all my paragraphs to the left side of the flier. I then bolded
a few words for emphasis.
