SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER (1 POSITION)

Tanzania Postal Bank (TPB) seeks to appoint dedicated, self-motivated and highly
organized Senior Procurement officer (1 position) to join the Procurement
Management team based in Dar es Salaam.

Essential Duties and R esponsibilities:

Obtains quotations from suppliers/services providers, assess the

Suppliers/service providers ability to meet the specifications.

Assist in preparation of tender notice and documents from time to time.

Ensures deliveries are made against orders in orderly manner.

Ensures timely clearance of goods from the port/Airport.

Undertakes customs, banking and insurance and other related

documentation for imported goods.

Maintains good relationship with internal user and suppliers/service

providers.

Generation of periodic reports (producing regular reports and statistics on

daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for goods, works
and non-consultancy services.

Maintains records of all goods ordered on monthly basis.

To assist in preparing procurement plans, technical specifications in

coordination with user departments.

EXP ERI ENCE AND K NOW LEDGE R EQUI R ED

Education: Holder of Bachelor Degree/ Advanced Diploma in Materials Management
from a recognized Institution or CPSP or related field who has a past
reputable practical experience of Procurement duties for a minimum period of
five years. Computer literacy is a must.

Ex perience:

Experience of at least 3 years in the Banking sector and in a

Procurement management role and Public Procurement experience is
highly desirable.

R egistration to the P SP TB:

Must be registered by the Procurement and

Supplies Professionals and Technician Board
