PURPOSE:
The purpose of this generic Method Statement is to define the procedure for water fill of crude oil
tank for hydrotesting
2.
A work permit shall be sought from MOL, for all sorts of HOT and COLD Works to be carried out at
site.

RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the responsibility of SM that tank water fill activities are executed according to the
relevant project specifications, in compliance with quality, schedule & safety requirements.
The QC Engineer will ensure that all work is executed according the requirements of quality
dossier.
Safety and execution supervision will be carried out by IKAN under supervision of
Schlumberger and MOL.
7.
Connect a 2 inches flexible hose pipe with existing fire water hydrant point.
Extend flexible hose pipe up to tank filling nozzle and connect with it.
Run fire hydrant pump and open the valve to fill tank at makori-3.
This exercise to continue to achieve required level of water in tank.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Hazard Analysis and Risk Control document shall be followed with compulsion before, during
and after commencement of work.
All personnel involved will use necessary PPE as required such as Safety Helmet, Safety
Shoes, Gloves, Glasses, Ear Plugs and dust mask as per job requirement.
The workers will be made aware of safety requirements related to this activity through daily tool
box talk and safety meetings.
All required work permits will be acquired and kept available at respective work sites hanged
clearly in plastic folders or in permit boxes.
Only personnel directly involved in hydro testing shall be inside barricaded area.
