0-1

Employees feel well supported in this area and are likely reflecting this through strong
work performance. Utilize the leaders well-developed strength in this area to set an
example for other leaders in the organization who may want to develop similar abilities.
By responding with a relatively high rating, employees are indicating the leaders
strength in this aspect of engaging staff. You will probably find that employees are
reflecting the leaders support with strong work results. Continue to encourage the
leader to enhance his or her baseline skills in this area.
Employees are indicating that the leader could improve his or her skills in this area.
Although the leader does not demonstrate significant weakness in this area, the score
also indicates that it is not an area of strength. With attention and effort on the leaders
part, you will likely see improvements in employee engagement and performance.
This is an area that warrants significant attention. To enhance the leaders ability to
engage and motivate staff, encourage him or her to create a personal action plan to
improve his or her abilities in this area. Working with a mentor who excels in this area
can also enhance the leaders abilities.
By returning a very low score, employees are indicating that this area requires
immediate attention. This area is identified as a critical weakness, and is likely having a
dramatic negative impact on employees. To minimize the risks to employee
commitment and loyalty, ensure the leader commits immediately to a personal
improvement plan. He or she would also benefit from coaching support or training.
