A train with a mass of 1000 tonnes is uniformly retarded by applying brakes. In one minute, its velocity
drops from 40 km/hr to 22 km/hr. Find the braking force.


A motor car running at the rate of 36 km/hr can be stopped by its brakes in 10 metres prove that the total
resistance to the motion of the car when the brokes are an, is approximately half of the cars weight.
