These have been often asked about but will certainly not be implemented as of current state of
the game in China (where all other versions get their content from):

real money trade capabilities in an auction house-like manner - see http://
www.xunbao178.com/ )
Sending mail.

Title
China BOI: Shn gu chunq (roughly divine ghost legend) is the same
as the Chinese title for The Mummy movies - the game itself was advertised as the
adaptation of the movies, and the opening chapters and the Scorpion King and Dragon
Emperor still remain to remind us of the games origin.
International BOI: Battle of the Immortals doesnt seem to refer to anything, its likely
a loose translation of the original title but made more interesting.
Registration
China BOI: You must register for a Perfect Pass which is valid for all Chinese Perfect
World games. The registration process involves entering a valid Chinese ID card number
(you can find some on Google, especially in the image search if you can recognize and
type in the Chinese name from them). Entering invalid info will cause your account to be
blocked, and registering as a child will enable the game fatigue system which reduces
the amount of EXP and drops after a certain amount of gameplay.
International BOI: You must register for a Perfect World Entertainment account, which
is valid for all Perfect World Entertainment games. You dont need to enter any verifiable
personal information.
Servers
China BOI: Servers are opened and closed often. Closed servers are merged into
existing servers. There are often events for players reaching the highest level etc. on
a new server, and the Server Level system helps the server scale to the pace of the
players advancing. The only exception is the Experience Server (as in experience the
game, not experience points), which is never wiped nor merged, but gets all updates 1
week ahead.
International BOI: The pool of servers is constant. No new servers are added or old
ones merged. The Server Level system is pointless since all servers are at the highest
level since a very early time in the games history.
International BOI: The instances drop the SG itself, and in tradeable form, but with
a very low rate (except for Pit). Therefore SG is rare and valuable. Some quests that
give the tokens from China BOI are bugged and will say your bag is full when you try to
complete them - this is because of the different SG obtaining methods.
Gems
China BOI: Almost all fashion and back gear has an expiry date. The only permanent
ones are in the ZEN marketplace. The only notable exceptions are the Mantle of Haste
and the higher-price Odin/Loki items from AR.
Note that the Chinese term for the Fashion slot is Shzhung which means
fashion in the sense of clothes () specific to a time period (), so it implies
the time limit on these items.
International BOI: All fashion and back gear is permanent. This makes some features
moot, such as having to constantly exchange for Thunder Mantles or Glacier Wings,
which would otherwise be a valid sink for the items they are exchanged from.
Event Times
China BOI: Fallen Darkness, Dragon Island and Champions Arena are available at
limited time intervals.
International BOI: the above events are open all day.
Patch Notes
China BOI: Each update is covered in detail, down to the very trivial changes. For major
updates there is a dedicated site that covers every aspect of the update, with plenty of
pictures, and these sites stay up for eternity. In fact these are where most of the content
for this document come from.
Example: here (click the headings to see how detailed they are)
Example patch notes here
International BOI: Only the major points of updates are announced officially, and even
those are often only given as intro or flavor text rather than the details.
Example here
Example patch notes here
ZEN Marketplace
Apparently the ZEN marketplace is managed differently from the game code. So an expansion
released in International BOI will not cause the ZEN marketplace items to change the same way
as they did in China BOI, but over time the new items do get added.
China BOI: There are few or no sales. The item selection remains nearly constant
between major updates. Usually there is one pet card and one mount box available at a
time, and these only change every one or two months.
International BOI: Sales are common. Usually every two weeks, whole categories of
items are put on sale. New gambling boxes and cards are introduced often, including
pet cards (or their Gift variations which dont use starwish charms), mount boxes, utility
boxes and fashion boxes. 100 ZEN in International BOI is equivalent to about 500 ZEN
in China BOI, and the prices are adjusted accordingly (with the same item costing 2-5
times as much in China BOI).
While there may always be differences in minor and underused items, some notable differences
exist between the stock of the two versions.
(Items count as due to be released if the item was released in China BOI update X, which
is followed by update Y, and update X has been released for International BOI but update Y
hasnt. When update Y is released and the item is still not available, it will be added to this list.
If the item is eventually released in the other version or is removed from the version to which it
was exclusive, it will be removed from the list.)
Notable items for sale in China BOI but not in International BOI:
Super Removal Charm and Super Gem Talisman
Perfect Embed Charms level 6 and 7
Gems - level 2 and level 4 (all types except Hel) - Replaced by Gem Value
Packs, which give an additional LV1/2/3 Gem Coin when you open them
Various deluxe packs
Charmstones - level 2 and level 4
Packs of Warcry Trumpet, Cloak of Protection
Astral Skill Removal Charm (similar to Pet Skill Removal Charm but only works
on the 12 strong Zodiac skills)
Poolsoul Stone (opens up more chances to combine pet gear)
Incarnation Energy Stone (adds 30 minutes to pet fusion time)
All minor and major Zodiac skills and the Soul+ pet skills
Notable items for sale in International BOI but not in China BOI:
F-Protects +6, +7, +8, +9
Diamond Coin
The Classic Kart and Energized Spider mounts
All Fashion boxes, and several other gambling items
Insignia Wands
Blessing Stone (should have been removed)
Glow Stone (should have been removed)
Seasonal events
China BOI: Seasonal (limited-time) events are common. There can be up to 4 running
in parallel, sometimes interconnected, and there is a separate window in the notification
area that displays the details. Common rewards are gem coins, Major Fortify Crystals,
unique pets, Fate Cards etc.
Sometimes you get a 888 salary card. The number 888 is considered lucky in
Chinese.
The Summer Egg is a recurring event. It was used once in International BOI but
re-branded as the Easter Egg event.
International BOI: Seasonal events are rare and usually concentrated to festivals such
as Christmas, Easter and BOI anniversary.
VIP system
China BOI has a VIP system that is based on the amount of ZEN charged on the website. It is
unrelated to the noble system inside the game. The VIP status allows you to get special prizes
including the fashions which are given out in gambling boxes in International BOI. It also allows
premium customer service.
Web browser
Only China BOI has the web browser, which is an integrated version of Internet Explorer (China
seems to lag behind in technology). The integrated browser allows you to play minigames, read
the game manual (those ? buttons that do nothing in International BOI) and listen to the BOI
Radio.
ARC
International BOI uses the PWE ARC platform to launch the game by default. China BOI still
uses its individual launcher. Since the launcher takes most its configuration from files, the
Launcher.exe from China BOI flawlessly works with International BOI.
CAPTCHAs
Only China BOI has CAPTCHAs. Every time you select your character, you must enter a
CAPTCHA that consists of 5-8 letters and numbers.
There is another type of CAPTCHA inside the game. When you complete a lot of quests, or
Magic Academy round 5, you are presented with a little window containing garbled outlines of
some Hanzi (Chinese characters). Below the image there is a question that asks you to count
how many times a particular Hanzi can be found in the picture. The possible answers are 1, 2,
3 or 4. If you fail this question, you are given another one, but if you fail twice, you are put into
jail for 10 minutes. Additionally, when you come out of the jail, you are presented with the same
type of CAPTCHA again, so you cant resume normal play until you solve it.
Curious Things
This section holds things which are easily missed by players.
And in the very lucky event that Jan 01 falls on a Sunday (next time this will happen in 2017,
hope the game is still running by then ), you can also do these weekend events twice:

NOTE: seeing how PWE seems to implement interim updates contrary to the logical
way (they tack them on the next expansion rather than the previous one), from now on
Im listing interim updates in a separate section and in chronological order, even if they
modify the features of the then-current expansion, and opening new headings for every
single update even if its only one item.

Aura System
This feature is activated by collecting the 4 divine artifacts. At level 90 you acquire the quest 4
Divine Artifacts in this world - Emberblade.
You need to collect 6 fragments. You get the first one automatically. You can right click on the
fragment(s) to get a hint about the next one. The 5 sub-quests are as follows:
Collect 5 (identified) World Tree Branches (hint: demand for this item may rise!)
Go to a certain coordinate in Rocky Abyss level 9 and use the fragment
Kill 100 Flame Warriors in Burning Land (Kills by party members dont count.)
Go to a certain coordinate in Angkor Temple level 2
Exchange a level 6 Odins Soul Jade at Segg
Completing the quest gives you the first artifact, which unlocks the first column in the Aura.
Each column contains different skills.
This system gets its own GUI, opened with the U key:
There are 4 different artifacts. When you equip the artifact in this GUI, it will enable the 4 skills in
that column. The skills must be upgraded by spending coins, EXP and/or Exaltation.
The ultimate skills cost 15 million coins. The minor skills increase cost progressively per level.
For example level 24 to 25 costs ~5 million coins.
Emberblade - Lvateinn
Skills:
Increase HP
Increase Physical or Magic Attack
Increase all four Elemental Attacks
Ultimate skill:
Berzerker: when losing 10% HP, increases damage by 4%, stacks up to 20%
Champion: increase ??? skill damage by 20%
Slayer: increase ??? skill damage by 20%
Fortify: Johnny in Atlantis can fortify your gear using Fortify Crystals, Major Fortify
Crystals, Fortify Charm etc. There are also rating bonuses that can be activated by
fortifying all 4 artifacts to a certain level at least once in their lifetime.
Upgrade: You can use Light Circles to upgrade artifacts to the next level. This item is
dropped in the instances Samsara Spring, Lunatic Fringe and Mirror Hall. There are 4
grades of each artifact, and the grade determines the maximum fortify level.
You need 5 Light Circles (LV1) to upgrade a grade 1 artifact to grade 2, 25 to upgrade
from grade 2 to grade 3 and so on for higher grades. You can combine 5 Light Circles
(LV X) to get 1 Light Circle (LV X+1).
Upgrading drops the fortify level to 0, but you have the option of using Glow of Athena to
preserve the current fortify level.
Grade 1 artifact requires level 90.
Grade 2 artifact requires level 110.
Grade 3 artifact requires level H20.
Grade 4 artifact requires level H40.
Level 1-15 skills require a grade 1 artifact.
Level 16-30 skills require a grade 2 artifact.
Level 31-45 skills require a grade 3 artifact.
Level 46-60 skills require a grade 4 artifact.
Embed Rune: Adds bonus attributes. Exchange Celestial Might for Runes. These are
like gems and there are 12 different types (Light Attack and Magic Attack cannot be put
in the same item!) Runes are affected by the Champions Arena gem-equalizing effect.
The maximum level is 6. You can exchange a level 2 or higher Rune for a Celestial
Might of the same level (also costs 1 million coins).
New Map
Hanging Garden
Samsara Spring
Mode: Party (3-6 members, cant re-enter once started)
Required Level: 90
Realm: 7, 8
Entry Limit: once per week
Requires Artifact: Emberblade - Lvateinn
In this instance you get a buff that increases your HP by 2.8 million. You can also find Empty
Goblets that you can fill with healing water that heals 500,000 HP per second, and you can keep
refilling them at the fountains. However, beware the bosses with stronger-than-usual attacks
and annoying gimmicks.
Walkthrough:
After the entrance you see 4 pillars, activate each of them and kill the mobs they spawn.
You get an empty goblet and a rusty key. Go to the fountain and use these 2 items to fill
the goblet with healing water and clean the key.
Go back to the main path and open the gate with the clean key.
Kill 20 mobs in the next area - after some time they stop being counted, you must use
the switch in the center of the area to make them count again.
Reach the first boss - Wald ( Wrd). This boss looks like a unicorn-pegasus
hybrid. He occasionally spawns some crystals that you must kill, otherwise he will get a
shield buff. He also becomes more and more powerful as his HP goes down.
After killing the boss, dont forget to search the object in the water.
Follow the path through a corridor full of stationary traps. If you step into one, it will
freeze you until you kill it.
You will come across a pool with many deer-like mobs.
In the next corridor there are more traps - these dont freeze but do 500k damage when
touched.
Reach the 2nd boss - Yuri ( Yul). He has 3 main gimmicks:
Heals himself, no way to stop it
Summons a pack of wolves, each wolf that reaches him restores some HP.
Use the 4 pillars around the boss area to set up a laser fence to kill the wolves.
(Hint: its a good idea to activate the top two pillars, then when the boss uses the
gimmick, one player should go to each of the bottom pillars and activate the one
where the wolves are coming. Once the laser fence expires, activate the top pillar
again and go back to killing. Its also worth knowing that the wolves alternate
between coming from the left and right.)
Teleports one player to a trial arena, where that player must step on 10 black
circles that move around within 30 seconds. This only happens once per battle,
at 50% of the boss health.
Continue to the next corridor where there are more exploding traps and some nine-tailfox mobs.
In another pool, you can find some pickup items, some of which restore some HP or MP
or give you another empty goblet. There is also a required item here: a blue glass of
water.
Go to the central chamber. Before you can face the last boss, you must stand into
enough of the moving light pillars to fill up the energy to 100%.
Last boss: Liart ( Liyt). Gimmicks:
Summons snakes. A lot of them. Enough to make you lag out of the game if you
have a poor internet connection and lose your chance at getting anything.
Summons a large snake. You must kill it within 10 seconds, or else (No
noticeable effect)
Turns one player into a rock and attacks a different one.
Calls upon the power of fire or water, with a short notice of 5 seconds. When
he calls fire, walk into the water; when he calls water, walk onto land. If you
stay on the wrong side of the yin-yang shaped room, its instant death for you
(actually just 2.5M damage but thats enough to kill medium-power characters).
(He predictably switches between ice and fire. However, the buff from the zone
only gives 90% fire/ice resistance, which apparently means it can still kill 3 out of
3 party members at the same time. Better use an invulnerability skill to be safe.)
As of a recent update, dying to the final boss will respawn you at the last fountain, so you dont
have to trek all the way from the entrance.
You get zilch for your trouble unless you can kill the final boss. For doing that you get (3) 5
bound Light Circles (LV1) and (2) 5 unbound ones, 1 Fortify Charm (bound), 5 Major Fortify
Crystals (bound), 1 Celestial Might (LV1), and you can pick up a fragment for the next artifact.
Additionally some mimics will spawn, the small ones dropping 66 salary cards, and the large
one (which is as strong as a boss but has no gimmicks) drops 1 unbound and 4 bound Light
Circles and a reward pack that has a chance to drop some useful items like Celestial Might and
4 unbound or 12 bound Light Circles, or just the usual Major Fortify Crystal(s). (For the sake of
variety, you choose a card out of 5 instead of 12, but the drop rates for the different items are
still not equal.)
Level Seals
The level seal prevents players from levelling up too fast. Initially the level seal is equal to the
level and exalted level of the top 1 player on the ranking. In order to break the seal, at least 100
players must reach the level seal, or a certain time period must pass.
Players who reach the level seal can receive a special quest.

Mode: Solo (you need to make a 1-man party to enter)
Realm: 7
Entry limit: once per week
Requires Artifact: Meteor Spear - Gungnir
This is the 2nd instance in the Uncharted Artifacts series. Complete this instance to get a
fragment of the Uncharted Artifact, Alfheim Bow - Sylvan.
You arrive in the center with a huge Pillar of Three Lives. You must first inscribe your name
on it, which will cause the first True Words Pillar to appear. You must then go to this pillar
and choose one of the inscriptions on it. Each of the inscriptions corresponds to a different
challenge. Once you complete the challenge, you get a candle that you must bring back to the
Pillar and use it. Then you can go to the 2nd pillar for another challenge, and then to the 3rd
one. Once all 3 candles are lit, the final boss (a flying fish?) appears. Killing it gives you an
Artifact Fragment and 6 bound Light Circles. There are no other rewards for this instance.
The possible challenges:
(The phrases are apparently from The True Words of Seven Buddhas for Eradicating Offenses
Mantra (see here and scroll to the end for an example).)
Life: (choose li po li po di on the pillar) You get a flower seed that you must use within
the green circles that spawn randomly. Doing this correctly causes some flowers to spawn.
Sometimes a gatherable flower will appear, which will spawn even more flowers when gathered.
Once enough flowers have appeared, the flying pig mob will become hostile. Kill it to get the
challenge item.
Desire: (choose qiu he qiu he di on the pillar) This is a memory game with 12 cards (stones).
You must gather two stones that conceal matching items to make them disappear. You only get
one glance at the concealed items before they are covered up by the stones. (PrintScreen is
your friend.) Once all 12 stones are gone, gather the final stone.
Death: (choose tuo luo ni di on the pillar) This challenge is just mobs to kill. During the first
part, you are periodically transformed into a tombstone that cant attack.
Love: (choose ni he la di on the pillar) You cant do damage to the mob directly, you must
go around the area and kill the crystals to damage it - but beware the black ghosts that form
rotating straight lines, touching one means instant death - and they have a huge hitbox.
Apparently you can also get instant-killed out of the blue. Dont waste coins on healing before
going back, because theres nothing here that doesnt instant-kill you.
Illness: (choose pi li ni di on the pillar) First you must lure 10 balls of disease into the center,
where they are destroyed automatically. Then you must kill the miniboss who will spawn lots of
sickness balls and will endlessly clone itself (bug?)
Hatred: (choose mo he qie di on the pillar) A powerful mob awaits here, but you can step on
the circles on the ground to get some healing.
Aging: Cant get here? (There are only 6 options on the pillars.)

Eternal Road
(NB This image shows an Astral weapon, there was no Marksman on the server without one)
In the second set of corridors, avoid the laser beams and kill the mobs in between them.
In the third circular room, kill Athenas Weapon.
In the third corridor, there are some gatherable items that you must gather in the right
order as hinted by the NPC at the beginning (Memphis Staff, World Tree Branch,
Horus Piccolo, Deaths Scythe, Shiny Stone Statue, Mystery Pillar, Nocturnal Pearl,
Mystery-filled Chalice). To make your job harder you sometimes get a DOT that cancels
gathering.
In the final room, kill Athena. At one point she transforms into Mechanical Athena.
In both forms she starts out weak but gets very powerful at 50% HP. She also has
a stunning attack. (She doesnt seem to have contractual boss immunity, i.e. most
stunning/silencing skills work on her. Take advantage of this especially in the enraged
phases.)
This event consists of a new boss spawn in Soulbound Crypt Level 3. Rewards include Oracle

This redesign turned out to be annoying, the final one looks like this:
Mishas Blessing is no longer received from the NPC. Instead a GUI pops up where you
can pick up a pack that has the same effect.
Weekly GIfts are no longer received from the NPC. Instead you get the reward in mail.
255 unbound Major Fortify Crystals can be combined into a box that makes it easier to
carry, store and trade in large quantities.
Cosmos skills are no longer opened with the daily quest. You need to reach certain
levels to open them.
Guild upkeep values changed, low level guilds have lower upkeep, high level guilds have
higher upkeep.
Increased upkeep for owned territories.
Changed guild event rewards and building material costs.
Players must be members of the guild for 1 week to participate in Throne of Boreas.
Fallen Darkness, Dragon Island and Trial for the Brave have less mobs, same total EXP.
Minimum level for Hello Newbie, Great Adventurer, Arethusas Request, Daily Trial,
Dragon Blood, Thors Blessings increased to 30.

Kill Mobs. These are more dangerous as they will spam unblockable 50k damage at
you.
3rd boss: Chaos. At about 33% HP he starts summoning damage circles under party
members every 25 seconds, which do unblockable 50k damage every few seconds. The
circles remain for 5 minutes. Drops some Adv. Coins, Diaries and a LV3 Gem Coin.
Destroy the seal circle and warp to the 4th zone.
4th boss: Valkyrie. She spawns damage circles under party members every 30 seconds.
These do unblockable 50k damage every few seconds. Also she sometimes casts an
AOE stun and this may coincide with the spawning of the circles. At about 33% HP she
respawns as a War Horse-riding Valkyrie, which has the same gimmicks and restarts
from full HP. Drops some Adv. Coins, Diaries and a LV1 Celestial Might.
Destroy the last seal circle which drops an unidentified Creators Energy Crystal and
causes the instance exit to appear.
Unblockable means this damage is unaffected by defenses and sacred armor. The only things
that increase your survivability are better healing and Max HP.
Analysis: The damage circles and the mobs in the 3rd area can be very annoying. For the
mobs, pull them one by one to minimize the chance of getting spammed to death with the
unblockable damage. For the bosses that spam circles, set up some kind of timer to signal you
whenever the circles are about to spawn. Gather all party members to one spot and move just
out of the AOE of the circles. Dont spread out or walk too far or the whole area will be full of
circles (8 sets can be active for the 3rd boss!) Watch out for the 4th boss, as the respawning
into the horse-riding Valkyrie resets the circle spawn timer, so you will also need to reset your
timer accordingly.
In addition to the drops listed above, every boss has a chance to drop an unidentified LVH50
Yellow Set piece.
Creators Energy Crystal is a new treasure. Collect 1 Creators Energy Crystal to receive a
Potion of Potential. Collect 20 Creators Energy Crystals to receive a Hephaestus Hammer +12.

Primordial Spirit
The Primordial Spirit is a new component that can embedded in your gear.
To get a Primordial Spirit you must complete one of the following instances:
Pangaea Catacomb
Golden Coast
Fae Shrine
Eversilent Night
The first time you complete the instances per week, you can get a reward pack from the Weekly
Rewards window. This pack will now contain an unidentified Primordial Spirit corresponding
to the level of the instance. You can exchange this for a Primordial Spirit for one of the 8
gear slots (weapon, helm, pauldrons, armor, gloves, belt, pants, boots). The pieces are not
interchangeable. If you already have all 8 pieces of the highest level you can get, you also have
the option to exchange for some Major Fortify Crystals.
Operations applicable to Primordial Spirits:
Embed: You can embed the Primordial Spirit in the gear in the corresponding gear slot.
The type of bonus is different for each gear slot (e.g. weapon gives attack power).
Fortify: Johnny in Atlantis can fortify your gear using Fortify Crystals, Major Fortify
Crystals, Fortify Charm etc. Primordial Spirits dont need to be sealed to fortify past level
10.
Soul Transfer: Leon in Atlantis can transfer enhancements from a piece of gear to
another using Glow of Athena.
Removal: Use the Primordial Spirit Removal Charm (Salary Marketplace item) to extract
the Primordial Spirit.

Welcome to Farmville The Docklands where you can have your own home, grow plants,
combine products to get more valuable items and decorate as you like.
At level 60 you automatically get a quest for a Residence Permit. Complete the quest series
and go to the NPC Frey ( Fli) in Atlantis to enter the Docklands. There are 34(?) different
zones each containing 24 plots. You must first find a zone with a free plot and go to the Mayor
in the center square to occupy it, after which it becomes your home. A small GUI displays your
home number and the stats of your farm. The Plant and Decorate buttons only appear while you
are on your own farm.
Level and EXP is gained by doing things like planting, harvesting and manufacturing. You can
also turn in certain farm items to the NPCs in the central square for farm EXP. Some buildings,
plants and decorations etc. are unlocked after reaching a certain farm level.
can be gained by selling farm items via the Storehouse. You can spend to buy new plants,
decorations and upgrades for certain buildings.
Note on entering and exiting: each zone has its associated realm (e.g. realm 1 for the first zone,
realm 2 for the second, etc., wrapping around to 1 for the 9th zone), and you are autmoatically
switched to the realm of the zone you are entering (you also have to wait for 10 seconds). If you
exit via the NPC in the zone, you will be switched to the realm where you originally entered. You
can also exit by changing realm or by teleporting skills. However, if you warped in from another
realm and all your teleport abilities are on cooldown, you cannot exit to the same realm as the
zone you are in.Take this into consideration when picking your home as this may affect your
ability to quickly go to events on that realm.
Planting
You can have up to 8 plots to grow plants. You start with 1 plot and the others are unlocked at
farm level 3, 6, 10, 15, 25, 34 and 45 respectively.
Click on the Plant button, choose a plant and then an empty plot to sow the plant. Each plant
has a farm level requirement and a growth time. If you have that plant in your storehouse, it will
be deducted from there. Otherwise you will be prompted to buy it for . You can accelerate the
growth of some plants by paying ZEN. Once fully grown, the plant may contain 6 or 12 or 36
(number chosen randomly; you can tell at planting since the name of the plant will be colored)
plants of the same type. You can then harvest them by clicking on the plant. You can also
harvest from other peoples farms, but only 10 times per day, and each time you dont get all of
the plants at once, you cant do this to the same plant more than once, and each plant may be
looted only 3(?) times (which makes sure your farm cant get fully robbed).
The blue plants work differently: you dont get the plant back, just the fruits, and the number
of fruits per plant is 10/30/60. You can use the fruits for a bonus and they randomly drop Star
Words.
Remember that the and Farm EXP rewards are mutually exclusive.
The level requirements are checked when planting, so you cant grow a plant you stole from
another player if your farm level is too low. However you can turn it in for or farm EXP.

Decoration
Click on the Decoration button to bring up the placement grid and the list of decorations.
Similarly to plants, you can place them by clicking on the item and then on the grid. You can
also click on an existing decoration to move, rotate or remove it (the latter puts it back to your
storehouse).
Some decorations cost ZEN to purchase, but they dont seem to have any effect other than
looking cool.
Storehouse
The storehouse stores your plants, decorations and other items. There is a limit on the total
number of occupied slots in the storehouse. You can expand the limit for 1000 ZEN.
You can sell items for by clicking on the sack icon then the item you want to sell.
Right-clicking on an item will put it into your normal inventory, and conversely, right-clicking on
an item in your inventory will put it into your storehouse if it can go there.
At farm level 10 you can unlock a different storehouse for 10,000. At levels 20, 30 and 40 you
can unlock 3 other storehouse models for 5000/10,000/30,000 ZEN respecitvely.
Workshop
You can use the workshop to combine items. Each item has a recipe (up to 3 ingredients) and
a crafting time. The workshop starts at 3 queue slots but can be expanded for 500 ZEN. The
workshop must finish processing the current item before starting the next in the queue.
You can speed up crafting for ZEN.
Once you queue an item for production there is no way to cancel it!
After the crafting is complete you must take the item out of the workshop.
To unlock most of the recipes you need to reach a certain farm level and use some to
upgrade the workshop.

Astrology Tower
The astrology tower provides passive stat bonuses if you have the means to upgrade it.
Each constellation has a different set of stat bonuses and required upgrade materials. These
include Fortify Crystals, junk items available from Kardanny, and the new item type, the Star

BOI is called Xngchn zh y, Word of Stardust). You must match the items from
your inventory with the recipe, by right clicking or dragging (for the treasure identify spells only
dragging works). You can combine 5 Star Words of level X into 1 Star Word of level X+1.

Farm Strategy
The only useful things you can get out of farming are the fruits and the Astrology Tower
bonuses. Therefore if you want to be most efficient you need to get up to the level where you
can grow the most fruit plants. You do this by creating the item with the highest Farm EXP per
minute ratio. These turn out to be the intermediate material items: Neutralizer, Dye, Glue and
Sweetener. You should always go for the highest level of these items that you have access to
for fastest farm EXP gain, but note the catch with the Sweetener, see below. Assuming a case
where you always get the minimum yield (+5 plants) but no plants stolen:
Neutralizer: having a field busy for 5 minutes allows you to keep the workshop busy for
10 minutes, so you will have some extra Red Leaf Grasses left over, which you can turn
in for Farm EXP.
Dye: having a field busy for 62 minutes (60 for the mushroom and (2/5)*5 for the grass)
lets you keep the workshop busy for 30 minutes. So with 2 fields you are almost even.
Those 2 minutes will manifest by having to switch for grass a few times, but since they
grow so fast you can do it en masse to have to make the switch less often.
Glue: having a field busy for 90 minutes lets you keep the workshop busy for 15 minutes.
You would need 6 fields to operate with full capacity, but you wont have access to that
many. In the worst case scenario you would get less farm EXP than producing Dye fulltime, but the random 12- or 36-plant yields offset this by letting you use the unused
capacity (which you dont have if you are producing Dye).
Sweetener: having a field busy for 360 minutes (120 for the lingzhi and 240 for the palm
tree) lets you keep the workshop busy for 30 minutes. You would theoretically need 12
fields to use the full capacity. With 8 fields you can use at least 66.6% of the capacity
(plus the extra from the 12/36-yield plants) which translates to 11.73 farm EXP per
minute for Sweetener. This is less than that of Glue but higher than Dye. Therefore you
should make sure to have enough pines in your storage to keep the workshop running.
If you can be at your PC constantly, the better strategy is to grow pines in 6 fields and lingzhi/
palm trees in the remaining two, or if you have too many excess pines, you can swap in lingzhi/
palm for some of the pines. Queue in sweetener in the workshop when you have to leave your
PC for a longer period.
TBA fill in strategy for the fruit plants.
When you grow the fruit plants, make sure you note down when they will mature and be there
at that second, so you can harvest them instantly without them falling into other players hands.
This is especially true if you see that the name of the plant is red since that means 6x yield and
a public announcement sent to the whole server, but its a wise thing to do anyway since other
players who pass by your farm may note down the growth time and come back when it matures.
Required Level: H1
Mode: Party (3 or more members required)
Entry Limit: 1 per week

Enter via NPC Hebe in Atlantis.
Ares Battlefield contains waves of monsters starting at level H1 and going up 1 level per wave.
Every 5th wave is a boss. After beating the boss you get a Divine Skeleton and there is also a
chest that can be picked up containing 2 Major Fortify Crystals and 2 500 Salary Cards for each
party member. You can use the Divine Skeletons to activate the 4 statues in the arena. You can
do this once per 10 waves. Activating all 4 will cause a wave of goodies (easter eggs that must
be killed to open, may contain Major Fortify Crystals, Gem Chests, Fortify Charms).
There is a leader board for the highest level reached by players just like for the Endless Stairs.
You can pick up a reward from the NPC after finishing the instance, based on how many
batches of 10 levels you have beaten.
Heretics cant revive in the instance. You can only Return 1 time per week after dying/leaving.
Move on and activate the Aries circle. Kill the attacking mobs.
Move on. You can use the Pisces circle to heal (for money).
Move on. Talk to Gemini. Kill the boss - Time Protector.
Go back to the center area and talk to the Wheel of Time to summon the boss - Loki.
After bringing him down to 50% HP he disappears, now you will have to go through the
bottom part of the instance.
Talk to Libra. Bring a Fire Power to remove his invincibility (see map for where to get
one) and kill him. Watch out for the hourglasses and destroy them ASAP otherwise they
will do major damage and continuous silence.
This time go down. Activate the Virgo circle and kill the boss - Virgo.
Move on. Activate the Sagittarius circle and kill the boss - Sagittarius.
Move on. Talk to Scorpio. Bring a Sand Power to remove his invincibility and kill him.
Kill the blue Healer mobs around him to remove his poison DOT attack (they alternate
between healer/destroyer when killed). However, towards the end of the fight he will
spam the DOT which will have no effect (as it would activate only after 2 seconds).
Move on. Activate the Leo circle and kill the boss - Leo.
Move on. Activate the Cancer circle and kill the boss - Cancer.
Move on. Talk to Gemini. Bring a Fire Power to remove his invincibility and kill him. At
50% HP he spawns a clone of himself. You are supposed to kill both the original and
the clone within 10 seconds of each other, however you can actually turn your back the
moment the original dies (and you get your reward), run around the map back to the
start and move on to the next step.
Go back to the center area and talk to the Wheel of Tome to summon the Boss - Loki.
This time you will have to beat him completely and you cant go out of the starting area,
meaning if you die once your only chance of survival are a quck-healing heretic or a
strong ZEN potion. If the healer dies tough luck. The boss also gains a gimmick for
this fight: he summons 3 straight lines of darkness, and stepping onto one of these
means certain death (it does periodic damage but also stuns you. He only does this in 2
patterns (the first is up, down-left, down-right, the second is down, up-left and up-right)
and he predictably alternates between the two patterns so its easy to avoid.
