At work 2 boilers in parallel mode:

On both boilers all controllers were in automatic mode (water, fuel, air).
The main switch of modes was in IGS MODE the minimal pressure of fuel at this mode was
5 kg / 2 on both boilers.
Three cargo turbines rotated on same revolutions (650 rev/min) .
The work of boiler is stable on electronic differential pressure transmitters (Flow meters)
identical fluctuations of the indication from 9, 00 t/h up to 11, 40 t/h.
During increasing of load on boilers by raisings of revolutions on cargo turbines 50 rev/min
each minute up to 1100 rev/min fluctuation of the indications on electronic differential pressure
transmitters (Flow meters) are increased and the difference of the indications on electronic
differential pressure transmitters on one from 7,00 t/h up to 10,60 t/h on other- from 8,80 t/h up
to 11,30 t/h. In further work a difference of the indications decreases but fluctuation still remains.
Then levels in both boilers are stable during five work hours of boilers.
After five hour of works of boiler in a parallel mode wavy change of both boilers levels
happened, i.e. simultaneously: in one boiler level commenced to rise and in other -commenced to
fall, then- vice versa and after that boiler which has bigger level is shut down because of hi-hi
level automatic. On electronic differential pressure transmitters (Flow meters) the difference of
the indications is increased.
On the remaining boiler, electronic differential pressure transmitters shows 32,70 t/h and on the
shut down boiler - the indication electronic differential pressure transmitter shows 9,40 t/h.
After boiler shut down and also closing main stop steam valve seal condensers on electronic
differential pressure transmitter (Flow meters) were blown and it was found that on the part of
high pressure there is no measured liquid.
Before input of boiler in a parallel mode all seal condensers with a measured liquid were
checked up on presence of a measured liquid and were blown.
After repetitive filling of measured liquid into seal condensers on stopped boiler lack of 2 litres
of measured liquid was found.
Before input of boiler in parallel mode electronic differential pressure transmitters were
calibrated for atmospheric pressure as per instruction of boiler.
Both electronic differential pressure transmitters showed identical value -7,00 t/h at
atmospheric pressure.
Situation repeats when boilers were put in parallel work when one is in automatic 16K MODE
and other-in manual mode, i.e. fuel supply on 6 kg/cm2.
At work of one boiler on two cargo turbines in an automatic mode IGS MODE or on the ballast
turbine in an automatic mode 16K MODE following happens:
the work of the boiler at any loads is stable and no changes of a boiler water level observed.
The indication on electronic differential pressure transmitter from 36, 00 t/h up to 37,400 t/h in
dependence of boiler's load.
But on the boiler which is out of work following was observed:
the indication on electronic differential pressure transmitter from 7, 70 t/h up to 12, 30 t/h in
dependence of load of other (i.e. working) boiler and opening of the feed water valve at normal
level of water in the non-working boiler happens with following increasing of boiler water level.
After a blowing of seal condensers on non-working boiler the indication on electronic
differential pressure transmitter becomes stable -7,0 t/hr and feed water valve closes.
Time scale of feed water valves work is given in the table below.

According to your recommendations following parameters were set on the controller of water:
PID-0
PO=80
I0=200
D0=15
OLO =-10
OHO=100
FLUCTUATION OF THE BOILER LEVEL DECREASED AFTER NEW PARAMETERS SETTING.

During work of boiler in a parallel the fluctuation of the Flow meters indications was
observed.
This fluctuation forms a signal for opening of the feed water valve bypassing the level
controller.
The level drops, the feed water control valve begins to open, at first drums level doesnt
changes, feed water control valve opens more and then a lot of quantity of feed water passes in

the level. Please find below drawing of flow meters pipelines installation.
