The Uniform of Christ

I want to speak briefly of three men: Solomon, Samson, and David.

1... Solomon was the wisest of all men. (He had great wealth and great power).
2... Samson was the strongest of all men. (He killed 1000 men with the jawbone of an ass, and he
toppled a temple with his own hands).
3... David was gifted with devotion. (He loved the Lord and sought to honor and glorify God).
Yet, all three men fell.
1... As strong as these men were, they were no match for the schemes of the Devil.
(Satan in his evil cunning led Solomon to marry many foreign women and through them he fell to
the temptation to serve false gods).
2... Samson, as strong as he was, was unable to resist the persistence of a woman. (Delilah
hounded him into telling the secret of his strength, and through her betrayal of Delilah, he
ultimately fell).
3... David fell into the temptation of lust, then adultery, then murder.
(Are you any stronger then they?) The answer is No, without the strength and power of God, we
will fall.
5... This is why Paul encourages us in (Eph.6:10-11) to be strong in the Lord.
Texts:
Eph 6:10-11
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
KJV
1... Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
2... Our theme for 2015 is (Elohim), "Power and Strength."
3... Your strength and power is found only in the Lord.
4... This power and strength must be "Put On." (God gives us the armor but he does not force
you to use it. It's up to you to put it on).
5... What does this mean? When we put on His armor, we are putting on His identity, we put on
His righteousness, we put on His authority, and His presence.
6... I remind you that your survival in 2015 will be your willingness to "Put On" His armor.
7... (1 Peter 5:8) tells us to Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring
lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (Will you be one that he devours in 2015?).
8... Will you be fully armed in 2015? In (Vs11) Paul says to "Put on the WHOLE armour of
God." (Some people just wear their uniform to church).
Paul zeros in on the Evil Day:
1... Paul said in (Eph 6:13) to take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day.
2... Paul tells us that only those that are fully armored with withstand the evil day. (Only God's
strength and power will make you an overcomer in 2015).
3... Some of you have dressed us for Church, but you have not dressed up for the evil days ahead.
Belt of Truth
1... In (Eph 6:14) Paul tells us to Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth.

2... It will be important that you "fasten the belt of truth around your waist" in 2015.
3... Will you surround yourself with truth in 2015? (Truth is your foundation).
4... The truth is, God is real. God loves you, and Jesus died for your sins. God is on your side that is the Truth! Hold on to the Truth, and like a good tight belt, the truth will hold you up and
keep you strong when Satan attacks.
5... The word the Lord gave me for you in 2015, we must tighten up the belt of truth in 2015.
Breastplate of Righteousness
1... Paul tell us in (Eph 6:14) to put on the breastplate of righteousness.
2... I remind you that your righteousness are as fifth rags in the sight of God. (But don't forget
that Jesus gave you a breastplate of righteousness to put on).
3... When the Devil tells you that you are a Nobody, you tighten up the Belt of truth and tell him
that you are a born again child of God. (You tell the Devil that you have been given the
breastplate of His righteousness).
4... When the Devil condemns you, your remind him that (Rom 8:1) says; There is therefore now
no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit.
5... The only way we can experience victory in battle against the devil is through confidence that
the righteousness of Jesus covers our hearts and that we are forgiven.
Shoes of Peace
1... In (Eph 6:15) Paul tells us to have your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.
2... The AMP says; And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firmfooted stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of
peace
3... The shoes served a very important purpose: to keep the soldier well planted while marching
or standing in unstable soil.
4... Will you Stand fully armored in 2015?
Shield of Faith
1... Paul says in (Eph 6:16), Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
2... Your faith is your shield from the fiery darks of the wicked. (Don't lose your faith in 2015).
Helmet of Salvation
1... Paul tells us in (Eph 6:17) And take the helmet of salvation.
2... Spiritually speaking, our heads represent what's in themour minds. We know that the mind
is the devil's playground.
3... I fight the devil just like you, but there is one battle that I have won, I have the helmet of
salvation, I am saved and I know it...Amen. (If this is not settled in your mind, you will always
loses the battle).
Sword of the Spirit
1... Paul tells us in (Eph 6:17) to take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
2... We use God's Word as a weapon when we speak it. Speaking Scripture aloud raises a
spiritual sword in the air that alerts Satan that you're armed and dangerous.
Maintaining Your Standing in Christ.
1... In (Eph 6:18) Paul tells us how to maintain our standing in Christ. Praying always with all
prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and
supplication for all saints.

2... What was Paul saying? He is telling us to pray at all times on every occasion, in every season
in the spirit, he is telling to be alert, and to be strong, to be God's consecrated people.
