service. Customers who register or have registered for our
mobile banking service can access their mobile banking terms
through their NatWest mobile application.

We are also making some changes to General Terms 2.1, 4, 6.4.2, 14, Account Specic Term 8.1 and our
Fees Leaet.
These changes alter the terms of the contract between you and us, apply to all our current accounts unless
otherwise stated and come into effect on 16 September 2013.
Please read the information in this leaet carefully and keep it for future reference.
Section 1 of this leaet summarises the main changes to our Terms and Fees Leaet.
Section 2 of this leaet provides full details of the changes to our Terms.
Section 3 of this leaet provides full details of the changes to our Fees Leaet.
If you have any questions, or need further information on how these changes affect you, please contact your
local branch.
You also have the right to close your account or switch to another account we are willing to provide you.
Youll have until 16 September 2013 to do so without loss of interest or additional charges. If you do not close
your account these changes will take effect as detailed overleaf.
The updated versions of our Terms and Fees Leaet will be available on request in your local branch or on our
website natwest.com from 16 September 2013.

Section 7 (Additional services and


travel money)

We are renaming the fees that apply if you have an unarranged


overdraft on your account or if you make an informal request
for an unarranged overdraft. We are also making changes to
reect that interest payable on arranged overdrafts will now be
referred to as arranged overdraft interest.
We are inserting a new General Term 4.6 to reect the
industry-wide launch of the Current Account Switch Service.
This explains that if one of your existing payees switches
their account using the Current Account Switch Service, we
will update the payees new account details automatically to
ensure your payment instruction still reaches the payee.
We are removing the terms relating to our mobile banking
service. Customers who register or have registered for our
mobile banking service can access their mobile banking terms
through their NatWest mobile application.
Summary of change
We are renaming the fees that apply if you have an unarranged
overdraft on your account or if you make an informal request
for an unarranged overdraft. We are also making changes to
reect that interest payable on arranged overdrafts will now be
referred to as arranged overdraft interest.
This section is being amended to reect that we no longer
accept new items into Safe Custody.

Section 2: Detailed changes to our Terms


Throughout the Terms:
All references to the Unarranged Overdraft Fee are being changed to the Unarranged Overdraft
Usage Fee.
All references to the Returned Item Fee are being changed to the Unpaid Transaction Fee.
All references to a returned item or returned items are being changed to unpaid transaction or
unpaid transactions.

General Terms
In General Term 2.1 the words other than are being deleted and replaced with including.
General Term 4.6 is being inserted and will read:
4.6 Changes to payee account details
Where you instruct us to make a payment (including standing orders or other payments made using a
payee instruction) and we are notied by the Current Account Switch Service that the intended payee
has switched accounts using the Current Account Switch Service, we will update the account details of
the payee on your payment instruction.
General Term 6.4.2 is being amended and will now read:
6.4.2 We will continue to accept the following payment requests even if you register for Overdraft Control:
(a) payments using your Debit card where the retailer does not check with us, before accepting
payment, that you have sufficient funds available in your account; and
(b) any NatWest fees or arranged overdraft interest due on your account.
Please refer to our Overdraft Control leaet for further information.

In General Term 6.5.2 the words arranged overdraft are being inserted between the words any
and interest.
General Term 6.5.3 is being amended and will now read:
6.5.3 We do not charge unarranged overdraft interest.
A new General Term 6.5.4 is being inserted and will read:
6.5.4 We do not charge arranged overdraft interest on any part of an arranged overdrawn balance
which represents an Unpaid Transaction Fee or an Unarranged Overdraft Usage Fee.
Existing General Term 6.5.4 will be renumbered General Term 6.5.5.
General Term 6.5.5 (previously General Term 6.5.4) is being amended and will now read:
6.5.5 If your account is overdrawn, any money credited to it will be applied in the following order:
(a) in repaying or reducing any part of the overdrawn balance which represents an unarranged
overdraft;
(b) in repaying or reducing any part of the overdrawn balance which represents an Unpaid
Transaction Fee or an Unarranged Overdraft Usage Fee;
(c) in repaying or reducing the rest of the overdraft.
In General Term 9.1.1 (d) the words arranged overdraft are being inserted between the words
or and interest.
In General Term 10 the two references to interest due on arranged overdrafts are being deleted
and replaced with the words arranged overdraft interest.
General Term 14.1 is being amended and will now read:
14.1 Introduction
This Term applies if we have agreed that you may use our telephone and online banking services to
operate your account.
General Term 14.2.6 is being deleted.
General Term 14.4 is being deleted.
General Terms 14.5 to 14.7 will be renumbered accordingly.
General Term 14.4.2 (previously General Term 14.5.2) is being amended and will now read:
14.4.2 You may only access our online banking service if you are resident in the United Kingdom.
General Term 14.4.3 (previously General Term 14.5.3) is being deleted.
General Term 14.5.2 (previously General Term 14.6.2) is being amended and will now read:
14.5.2 You may give us notice to terminate your subscription to our telephone and/or online services by
giving us written notice or calling our telephone service. The notice will not be effective until we
receive it.
General Term 14.5.3 (previously General Term 14.6.3) is being deleted.
General Term 14.6 (previously General Term 14.7) is being deleted.

Account Specic Terms


Account Specic Term 8.1 is being amended and will now read:
8.1 Black Accounts are only available to individuals aged 18 years or over.
