A. Preparatory Activities
Motivation
1. Show a picture of pancakes to pupils.
2. Ask:
What food do you see in the picture? Who among you like
pancakes? Who has cooked pancakes either by himself or with the
help of an elder? Are pancake nutritious and good to our health?
3. Tell the pupils that they are going to read a rhyme but let them guess
what they think the rhyme is all about.
B. Development of the Lesson
Presentation
1. Tell the pupils that they are going to learn some words used in
cooking. (Unlocking of words may be done through the use of the
dictionary, gestures, or by relating them through pupils experiences.)

1. Ask: If you will be given a chance to cook your favorite food, what
should you always remember when cooking? (Practice safety
measures or habits or be very careful in doing the different
procedures.)
