50% marks.

i) 4 years experience in the field of Library & Information Science.
ii) Knowledge of library software.
iii) One year course in computer with knowledge of Word, Excel and Power point.

4. Laboratory Technician
i) A Senior Secondary School Certificate (+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized
Board/ University/institution
ii) A Diploma in Laboratory Technology or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
iii) Two years experience as Laboratory Technician in a Hospital/ Clinic/ Diagnostic lab
of repute, with familiarity in handling sophisticated equipment.
Age Limit: Not above 27 years.
5. Junior Office Assistant
Essential:
(i) Graduate from a recognized institute,
(ii) Diploma/ Certificate of minimum 6 months duration in Computer Application/ Office
Management/ Secretarial Practice/ Financial Management/ Accounts or equivalent discipline.
OR
Graduate degree in Computer Application/ Office Management/ Secretarial Practice/ Financial
Management/ Accounts or equivalent discipline from a recognized institution.
iii) Having a typing speed of 40 w.p.m. in English on computers.
Desirable:
i) 3 years of administrative experience in a computerized environment.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Application Form:
1. Application has to be submitted in the prescribed application form only. The application form
may be downloaded from
http://www.uohyd.ac.in/recruitment/
2. Separate application is required to be submitted for each post. Candidates applying for more than
one post must submit separate application and fee, if any, for each post.
3. Before applying for a post, candidates are advised to satisfy themselves about their eligibility. No
enquiry in this regard will be entertained.
2. Submission of Application Form
2.1 The application form should be filled in by the candidate and signed in full. This will be treated as
original application.
2.2 The name of the candidate, the name of the post applied for, the category, and complete postal
address shall be written on the reverse side of the demand draft without fail.
2.3 Persons already in service must submit their applications through proper channel. While
forwarding applications of in-service candidates, Head of the Institutions should certify that the
applicants are free from Administrative and Vigilance angle and that no vigilance proceedings are
pending or contemplated. Photocopies of ACRs dossier of the candidate(s) for the last five years
may also be forwarded along with application in sealed covers.
NOTE: In case the applicant is in service, and delay is expected in getting endorsement of the
employer concerned on the original application and in sending it to the University, the applicant may
submit Advance Copy of the application, with all enclosures, to the address given below, directly
(with or without employers endorsement on the Advance Copy). In such case, the Demand Draft
towards registration fee should be enclosed to the Advance Copy. A Xerox copy of the Demand
Draft may be enclosed to the original application being sent through proper channel/employer. If
the original application through proper channel has not been received by the University by the last
date mentioned in the employment notification, the candidate / applicant will have to submit NO
OBJECTION CERTIFICATE obtained from his / her employer to the University at the time of
interview, if he/she is called for interview. Such candidates need to get the endorsement of the
Employer on the last page of the application.
2.4 The filled in application along with a passport size colour photograph (pasted in the space
provided on the application) and self-attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications,
date of birth, experience & caste etc.is to be submitted in a sealed cover superscribed as
Application for the post of . (Name of the Post) and the
Category ... on the top left side to the Assistant Registrar, Personnel Section-II,
Ground Floor, Administration Building, University of Hyderabad, Central University P.O.,
Gachibowli, Hyderabad 500 046 (Telangana), India on or before the last date as mentioned
below.

2.5 Last date for receipt of application in the University of Hyderabad is 30.01.2015 by 04:00 pm.
Applications received after the last date due to postal delay or any other reason(s) thereof,
shall be summarily rejected and no further correspondence shall be entertained in this
regard.
3. Registration Fee:
Application should be accompanied with a registration fee (non-refundable) in the form of a
crossed Demand Draft only, drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Hyderabad,
payable at Hyderabad, Telangana.
Registration fee -

Rs. 500/- (for General and OBC categories)

Candidates belonging to SC/ST & PWD candidates, subject to submission of prescribed medical
certificate, and all women candidates are exempted from payment of registration fee.
Applications not accompanied by the full prescribed fee in the form of demand draft will not be
considered and will be summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be
entertained.
The fee sent through Money Order, Indian Postal Orders, Crossed Cheques, Currency Notes and
Treasury Challans will not be accepted by the University and such applications will be treated as
without fee and will be summarily rejected.
Other Instructions:
1. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate
possesses the same will not entitle him / her for being called for test / interview. The University
reserves the right to restrict the no. of candidates to be called for written test/interview on the
basis of their qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed as decided by a
duly constituted Screening Committee. Call letters for attending Test / Interview will be sent only
to the short-listed candidates by Speed Post or Registered Post or Courier Service. No
correspondence will be made with applicants who were not short-listed.
2. The University reserves the right to relax any of the qualifications, age & experience, etc. in case
of deserving candidates or those who are already possessing experience in similar positions in
University or research institutions.
3. The number of vacancies of the posts indicated in this employment notification is tentative. The
University reserves the right to fill any consequential vacancies and to increase/decrease the
number of posts at the time of selection and make appointments accordingly. The University also
reserves the right to withdraw any of the posts from the recruitment process, if the circumstances
so warrant.
4. Outstation SC/ST candidates called for test / Interview will be paid contribution equivalent to
return single SECOND CLASS railway fare towards journey expenses, within India, on
production of tickets.
5. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify such candidate.

6. Experience and qualifications will be reckoned as on the last date (for receipt of filled in
application) as mentioned in the Employment Notification. Legible copies of all certificates must
be attached to the application.
7. Incomplete applications in any respect will not be entertained.
8. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage.
9. Those who joined/joining University services on or after 1st January, 2004 are covered under new
pension scheme introduced by Government of India vide G.I., M.F, (CGA,) O.M. No
1(7)(2)/2003/TA/11 dated 07-01-2004 read with O.M. No. 1(7)(2)/2003/TA/67-74 dated 04-022004.
10. The University reserves the right to cancel the notification / recruitment process at any stage
without assigning any reasons.

Additional information to candidates

A Candidate must be either:a citizen of India, or


a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently
settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African
countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),
Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose
favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

NOTE : The application of a candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be
considered by the University and, if recommended for appointment, the candidate may also be
provisionally appointed subject to the necessary certificate being issued in his favour by the
Government of India.
2. Age Limit:
The age limit for the post(s) has been given in the advertisement. For certain age concessions admissible
to various categories please go through Instructions No. 5. Age will be reckoned as on last date for
receipt of application i.e, 30.01.2015.

3. Minimum Educational Qualifications:


All applicants must fulfil the essential requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated in the
advertisement. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the
essential qualifications laid down for various posts. No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be
entertained.
NOTE-I: The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same
does not entitle candidates to be called for test / interview.
NOTE-II: Where the number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large and it will
not be convenient or possible for the University to Test / Interview all the Candidates, the
University at their discretion may restrict the number of Candidates, to a reasonable limit by
any or more of the following methods as decided by a duly constituted Screening Committee:
(a) On the basis of either qualifications and experience, higher than the minimum prescribed in
the advertisement; or
(b) On the basis of experience in the relevant field; or
(c) By counting experience before or after the acquisition of essential qualifications; or
(d) By holding a test.
The candidate should, therefore, mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field over
and above the minimum qualifications and should attach attested/self certified copies of the Certificates
including mark-sheets in support thereof.
Note-III: In regard to Educational Qualifications, only the mark-sheets in lieu of Educational Certificates
will not be accepted by the University.
Note-IV: The provisional claim what so ever in regard to eligibility to the post will not be accepted by
the University.
4. Caste Certificate
The candidates applying should clearly state to which category they belong. They should also enclose a
certificate issued by M.R.O. / equivalent cadre as proof to this effect, without which the applications will
not be considered.
Candidate applying for the post(s) reserved for OBC, must submit an attested copy of certificate of
Creamy Layer-exclusion in the prescribed form issued by Mandal Revenue Officer/Competent Authority,
vide Column 3 of GOI, Deptt. Of Personnel and Training O.M. No. 36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated
8.9.1993 and modified vide DOPTs O.M.No. 36033/3/204-Estt.(Res) dated 9.3.2004, without which
applications will not be considered.

5. Age Relaxations:
Relaxation in age limit will be in accordance with the DoPT circular No.15012/2/2010-Estt.(D) dated
27.3.2012.
(i) AGE RELAXATION FOR SCHEDULED CASTE / SCHEDULED TRIBE /OTHER BACKWARD
CLASS
(a) The upper age limit is relaxable to the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled
Tribe 5 Years; b) Other Backward Class 3 Years; & Physically Handicapped (PH) 10 Yrs.
(General category)
(b) In case, the Persons with Disabilities belong to SC/ST/OBC category, such SC/ST-cum-PH
candidates are eligible for 15 years relaxation and OBC-cum-PH candidates are eligible for 13
years relaxation in the upper age limit prescribed for General category candidates. The persons
claiming age relaxation under this sub-para should produce a certificate from the competent
authority of Govt. Hospital/Medical Board in support of their claims. In any case, the appointment
of these candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in accordance with the
standards of medical fitness as prescribed by the Government for each individual posts to be filled
by Direct Rectt.
(ii) AGE RELAXATION FOR DEPARTMENTAL CANDIDATES For Group C Posts, the upper age
limit is relaxable for regularly appointed employees up to 40 years of age (45 years for SC / ST). The
concession will be admissible only where an employee has rendered not less than three years
continuous service under Government.
(iii) AGE RELAXATION FOR MERITORIOUS SPORTS PERSONS: The relaxation in upper age limit
up to a maximum of 5 years (10 years for persons belonging to SC/ST Communities and 8 years for
persons belonging to Other Backward Classes in respect of posts reserved for them) may be allowed
to meritorious sportswomen/sportsmen in the field of Games/Sports recognized by the Government
for such purpose provided they satisfy all other conditions prescribed by Government from time to
time. The persons claiming age relaxation under this sub-para should produce a certificate issued by
the competent authority in the proforma prescribed which will be supplied to candidates on demand
by the University. There is no upper age limit in respect of Indian employees of the Government of
Burma discharged owing to Constitutional changes in that country. For others, age limit will be
strictly adhered to save in exceptional circumstances, and in no case be relaxed beyond a limit of
three years.
(iv) AGE- RELAXATION FOR WIDOWS, DIVORCED WOMEN AND WOMEN JUDICIALLY
SEPARATED FROM THEIR HUSBANDS:
The upper age limit is relaxable up to the age of 35 years (up to 40 years for members of Scheduled
Castes/Scheduled Tribes and up to 38 years for members belonging to the Other Backward Classes in
respect of the posts reserved for them) for widows, divorced women and judicially separated women
who are not remarried. The persons claiming age-relaxation under this sub-para should produce the
following documentary evidence:-

a. In case of Widow, Death Certificate of her husband together with the Affidavit that she has
not been remarried since.
b. In case of divorced Women and Women judicially separated from their husbands, a certified copy
of the judgment/decree of the appropriate Court to prove the fact of divorce or the judicial
separation, as the case may be, with an Affidavit in respect of divorced women that they have not
been re-married since.
(v) AND OTHER AGE RELAXATIONS AS PER THE GOI GUIDELINES.

In case of any disputes/suits or legal proceedings against the University, the jurisdiction shall be
restricted to the courts in Hyderabad, which is the headquarters of the University.
