Study to assess cell-salvage in obstetrics

SALVO recruitment

SAE reporting

Wed like to start off with a round of applause 66

patients were randomised in December, more than in any
month since April 2014.

Just a brief reminder to report any medical events that are

life-threatening or that prolong hospitalisation beyond 7 days
as Serious Adverse Events. For further details, see protocol
section 6.4, and section 11 in your local site file.

The holiday season couldnt stop you 3 patients were

included on Christmas Eve, and the last patient of the year
joined us from Hinchingbrooke, just over an hour before
midnight on New Years Eve. Very good effort everyone, so
heres to a successful 2015!

Blood Bank data queries

A thank-you to the many sites that have been in touch
with their blood banks for cross-referencing and returned
their responses. There are still a few sites where we await
responses. Its not too late, as we will be updating our records
in mid-January, ahead of a reporting deadline to the funder
do send them in!

Teleconferences

NHSmail
And while were talking
about reporting, remember
to transfer sensitive data
securely.
Even though
SALVO CRFs do not
contain any personal details of our
participants, there is some information
which may potentially allow the patient to be reidentified. Therefore if you are emailing data collection forms
to us, please make sure that these are sent from and to nhs.
net accounts only, as these are protected to government
standard. Our nhs.net addresses are:
anna.placzek@nhs.net
doris.lanz@nhs.net

Here are the dates for the next few site teleconferences
this year:
