B. Objectives of the Course


1- Summary of the main learning outcomes for students enrolled in the course
Upon completion of this course, the student will:
Identify the basic parts of speech used in reading selections.

Recognize basic sentence patterns used in a text.

Identify the main idea of short reading passages.

Manipulate 6 basic sentence patterns including use of correct word forms.

Write short narrations and summaries of short text. Additional Course Goals.

- Increase of web-based reference material through the establishment of a web-site linked

Check marking of a sample of student work by an independent faculty member.
