TSC Action Plan on Haze Management


1. To conduct Risk Assessment for site activities due to Haze
2. To ensure sufficient stock of N95 mask on site for 7 days supply
3. Conduct mass briefing to all workers on site for the following:
Hazard of haze to health
The correct way of wearing the N95 mask
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on Haze Measures
4. Conduct Daily Toolbox Meeting to all workers on the following:
Check on the health condition of workers especially those with breathing
problems to ensure they are fit to work, report sick if necessary
Ensure all workers are issued with N95 mask and carried with them
at all times
Daily check on the condition of the mask and replace if necessary
To encourage workers to drink more water and carry with them
1.5 liter of water at all times

To update the workers on the latest haze issue

- Work as usual on site
- Communicate to workers
on haze issue during the
toolbox meeting
- EHS department to
monitor actual haze
condition on site compare
to publish PSI figure and
take necessary actions

(Unhealthy)
- Encourage workers to
wear mask if necessary
- TSC EHS Department
will monitor the PSI level
hourly through the NEA
website and display the
reading on the indicator
board
- EHS department to
monitor actual haze
condition on site compare
to publish PSI figure and
take necessary action

PSI 201 300
(Very Unhealthy)
- Tower Crane operator
will sound horn 2 times
(3 cycles) to alert workers
to wear N95 mask
compulsory
TOWER CRANE

- Check workers if they


have health problem and
stop work if necessary
- Check visibility with
crane operator and stop
lifting activities if
necessary due to poor
visibility
- Provide more lightings

(Hazardous)

ROOF LEVEL WORKS

- Tower Crane operator will


sound horn 3 times (3 cycles)
to stop all lifting activities
- Stop all hazardous site
activities, eg lifting, external
roof works, formwork at height
- Refer to Risk Assessment
done and take necessary
measures
- Site PM to lift Stop Work order
for the above activities after
further Risk Assessment is
done on the actual condition
on site

(Very Hazardous)
- Tower Crane operator will sound horn 3 times (continuous 30 seconds)
- Stop all outdoor activities and workers to remain indoor
- Site PM to lift Stop Work order for the above after further Risk Assessment is done on
the actual condition on site provided the haze condition is fit to work
