IPPD3 PENSIONS PROCESSING - IPPD2 DATA CLARIFICATION
We refer to your letter dated 8th June,

2012

and wish to advise as follows:

1. Prepayment data with no corresponding

We have noted that 7,546 pensioners who are categorized as Prepayments
are
beneficiaries of one time payments for either death, commuted or contract gratuity, and
are not en the monthly pension payroll.
The analysis is as follows:

2. Duplicate bank accounts numbers with multple payments
Due to the meager pensions received by pensioners, the commercial banks set up one
account for all pensioners in a location to facilitate the payment of their monthly
pensions. We have notified all commercial banks, the need to open a separate bank
accounts for each pensioner. You are entreated to use the existing bank data in
processing the pensions.
3. Age over 80 years
The issue of 80% of pensioners being over 80 years has been acknowledged by 3M
Cogent.
We have advised 3M Cogent to incooperate date of birth in the biometric
registration and this will enable us validate the data on pensioners who are over 80
years.

You are therefore requested to use the existing data with the respective default dates.

4.

Regarding 7676 records which are deemed to be incorrectly formatted relates to

nominees who are not linked to the "primary" pensioners on the sysytem. Currently the
records are manually kept. This data should also be archived.

5. Third Party Deduction

You are to use the Deductions Element Summary that has been provided by the
Pension Payment Unit.

Any deduction not found on the such list should be excluded.

6. Zero-Net Pension Allowance

These are pensioners who have not done the biometric registration.

This category of

pensioners would be reactivated as soon as their biometric data is made available. This
data should therefore be archived.

7. Duplicate Employee Numbers

Employee numbers are system generated and this field should be made mandatory sort
field.

Any duplication found should be deleted.
