Dhoot Transmissions Pvt. Ltd. Was established on 2nd July 1999, to cater to the growing needs of
domestic appliances and automobile sector customers. The company is strategically located at Gut no. 100,
Farola, Paithan Road, Aurangabad. The Company primarily focuses on Customer Satisfaction through high
quality, Competitive cost and strict adherence to Delivery Schedules.

The harnessing activities started way back in 1996 at MANGALAM COILS PVT. LTD. -a group
company engaged into manufacturing of power cords. Over the last three years, total dedication to quality
products has earned reputed for both reliability and superior craftsmanship. We at Dhoot Transmission continue
to be pacesetters with innovative techniques and advanced production methods.

In the development of Automobile and appliances industry, Electronic and


Electric devices have played an important role. Wire Harness assembly is a
functioning component which connects the controlling position with the driving
part in order to supply electricity and signal necessary for operation.

Production system to create high quality goods

All Dhoot Transmission harnesses are made by in house consistent system. Right from purchase of raw
material, manufacturing and cutting of wire, crimping of terminals and wiring harness assembly, several
intermediate quality checks are performed. Such a total management ensures high quality product. Assembly of
wiring harness which is a elaborate work has been made speedy and accurate by implementing consistent
systems.

Wiring harness is a essential component for all products that operate on electricity. Half the procedure is done
manually. Crimping of terminals requires accuracy in units of millimeter and much depends on the skilled
worker. Entire procedure ranging from harness assembly of final inspection is done by trained workers. Further
the line is administrated by talented technical staff and 100% product inspection is carried out. This leads to
manufacturing of high quality goods.

Reliability is a crucial issue and especially a malfunction can substantially spoil the product image. Dhoot

B. Up gradation to ISO 9000 - 2000 - By January 2003.
C. ISO / TS 16949 - By August 2003.
D. TPM Implementation The company right since its inception has been marking
progressively towards quality system management and product up gradations. It has
already earned a niche for itself with the major Appliances and Automobile
manufactuer across
India.
The Company has also been awarded "The ISO 9002 Certification" by Det
Norske Veritas, Netherlands. It further aim at achieving QS 9000 registration and
UL Products certification by March 2002.

Promoters
Dhoot Transmission Pvt. Ltd. belongs to the Dhoot Motors Group. It is a closely held company with the
management shared in the family. All the board members have been involved with the company right since its
inception and share a healthy track record with the Banks and Financial institutions.

Mr. Radhavallabh Dhoot- the Chairman of the Company is a B.Sc graduate from Pune University and also
founder of the group. He has 37 years of experience in different fields of trading and manufacturing. It all
started in 1965 when he started Dhoot Motors Limited ( DML ). Under his strong leadership and fair practices
the company carved a niche for itself as a reliable Automobile Distributorship. For the last 37 years he has been
associated with the Industry Leaders like Bajaj Auto Limited ( 1965 - 1978 ), Bajaj Tempo Limited, Kinetic
Engineering Limited ( 19 - 19 ), Kinetic Honda Limited ( 19 - 19) and Hyundai India Limited. He has been an
inspirational source for the groups foray into Industrial Activities.

Mr. Manish Dhoot - The Director of the company is an engineering graduate majoring in Electronics. He has 10
years of experience in different fields of trading and manufacturing. He is also the Managing Director for
Mangalam Coils Pvt. Ltd. ( MCPL ) - a group company involved into manufacturing of Injection Molded Cord sets
and Flexible Cables. Under his able leadership the company has already emerged as the largest manufacturer of
Cord sets across the Indian Subcontinent.

Mr. Rahul Dhoot - The Managing Director of the company is an engineering graduate majoring in Electronics
and Telecommunications. He has 7 years of rich experience into manufacturing of Cables, Cords and Wiring
Harnesses. Under his leadership the company boasts of a young and dynamic team, which is well
complemented by a healthy working atmosphere. The Company is fast emerging as an established wiring
harness and cable manufacturer catering to the various requirements of automobile and appliance sector.

infrastructure for new products and documentation for all the processes.

World class techniques of TPM, JIT, Single Piece Flow,VSM, SMED , POKA-YOKE and KAIZENS ensures better yields,
optimum utilization of resources and fast development of wiring harness from concept to mass production.

Tool Manufacturing

DTPL has in-house tool development facilities to ensure for uncompromised quality and lower throughput time for
perishable tools. All tools developed in-house are validated and qualified before use.

Management Function:
Planning:
Means looking ahead and chalking out future courses of action to be followed.
It is a preparatory step. It is a systematic activity which determines when, how and who is going to perform a
specific job. Planning is a detailed programme regarding future courses of action. It is rightly said
“Well plan is half done”. Therefore planning takes into consideration available & prospective human and
physical resources of the organization so as to get effective co-ordination, contribution & perfect adjustment.
It is the basic management function which includes formulation of one or more detailed plans to achieve
optimum balance of needs or demands with the available resources.

According to Urwick, “Planning is a mental predisposition to do things in orderly


way, to think before acting and to act in the light of facts rather than guesses”. Planning is deciding best
alternative among others to perform different managerial functions in order to achieve predetermined goals.

Organizing :
Organizing is the function of management which follows planning. It is a function
in which the synchronization and combination of human, physical and financial resources takes place. All the
three resources are important to get results. Therefore, organizational function helps in achievement of results
which in fact is important for the functioning of a concern. According to Chester Barnard, “Organizing is a
function by which the concern is able to define the role positions, the jobs related and the co- ordination between
authority and responsibility. Hence, a manager always has to organize in order to get results.

A manager performs organizing function with the help of following steps:-

1. Identification of activities
2. Departmentally organizing the activities.
3. Classifying the authority.
4. Co-ordination between authority and responsibility.

Leading :
As one of the four functions of management, leading can be both extremely important and
challenging. Along with planning, organizing and controlling, all managers will execute these four
functions of management. From managing a local store to managing a large corporation, every
manager will perform each of the functions at some point in their jobs.

Leading Means Inspiring

A manager should strive to become an inspiration to the rest of the employees. Employees will follow a manager
because the manager is the boss. However, a manager that is an inspiration means that employees follow that person
because they believe in what the manager is doing and they are trying to help the company achieve its goals. Finding
ways to inspire employees means coaching them and motivating them to succeed as integral parts of the company.

Leading Affects Morale

The way a manager leads greatly affects employee morale within the department and company as a whole. Managers
should create a climate that encourages new ideas and employee input. The more the employees feel that they have a
say in the company, the more they will be willing to share ideas and attempt to find better ways to improve processes.
For example, a good manager may reward employees with monetary or benefit incentives if they can increase output
of a product. Another idea is a treasure box of goodies. Managers can set a goal early in the week and employees who
meet the goal by the end of the week are allowed to take a prize from the treasure box.

Leading is Key to Effective Communication

For a manager to be an effective leader, he or she must also be an effective communicator. A manager that shares
information and lets employees know the latest news in the company is someone that is deemed trustworthy by his or
her employees. Employees feel little loyalty or trust towards a manager who does not readily give out information.

Leading Effectively Contributes More to the Bottom Line

An effective leader inspires employees, which allows those employees to feel like they are making a meaningful
contribution to the company. Satisfied employees generally work harder and take more ownership in their job
positions. This can mean happy customers and a higher level of customer service.
