GUID ELINES FOR CANDIDATES TO FILL THE APPLICATION FORM

1. The Fee of the UPRTOU MBA-MCA Entrance Test is Rs 750/= ( Rs. Seven Hundred Fifty only)
which has to be deposited through Bank Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank in favour of,
The Finance Officer, U P R T O U, payable at Allahabad and to be enclosed with MBA-MCA
Entrance Test 2015 application form.
2. The candidates after qualifying the MBA-MCA Entrance Test, (Clearance means securing 40%
marks in Entrance Test) will have to fill the general admission form available at the respective study
centers to take admission in MBA program and they have to deposit the Annual Fee of Rs 15000/(Rs. Fifteen Thousand only) for MBA and Rs. 13700/- (Rs Thirteen Thousand Seven Hundred only)
for MCA along with this application form through a demand draft in favour of Finance Officer,
UPRTOU, payable at Allahabad, for the first year and later on every year as per program duration.
3. The Entrance Test shall be conducted at Allahabad ( SoMS, UPRTOU, Academic Campus, Sector
F, Shantipram, Phaphamau, Allahabad) TEST TIME: 12:00 Noon
4. Write your complete and correct address for Correspondence as well as Permanent Address with
Mobile No. and E Mail address.
5. Attach photocopies of all the certificates and mark sheets showing the qualifications, Experience (as
the case may be) and date of birth of the candidate.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION IN MBA

Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks for the general category candidates and 45% marks
for the reserve category candidates i.e.SC/ST class candidates (as declared by the State Govt. from
time to time)
Or
Bachelor degree with 3 years of Supervisory/ Managerial/ Professional/ Working Experience.
EXEMPTION FROM WRITTEN TEST (APPLICABLE ONLY FOR MBA ADMISSION)
1. The candidates who have appeared in the entrance tests for the similar programs MBA conducted
by IGNOU/ AIMA / IIMs / UPTU etc. within a year need not to appear in MBA MCA Entrance
Test of UPRTOU Allahabad, provided they have secured 40% marks in such examination.
However they have to fill and submit the respective MBA-MCA Entrance test form by 24 th
January 2015 with the following documents.

For those having marks less than 50 % in graduation. Three years working experience after
completion of Graduation.
2. Such candidates will have to fill the Form with Entrance test Fee of Rs. 500/- Only ( Rs. Five
Hundred Only) through a Demand Draft favouring, Finance Officer, U P Rajarshi Tandon Open
University payable at Allahabad. This Form is required to be sent to:

3. After successful screening of the entrance test form, the names of eligible candidates (who match the
MBA eligibility) will be notified along with the entrance test result displayed on the website.

INFORMATION RELATED TO MBA PROGRAM:

A. The students have to complete a total of 24 papers of 144 credits including a project report
work.
B. The duration of the MBA program is Min. 2 years and Max. 4 years.
C. Re-registration : Only for one year after 4 years maximum duration
D. The entire program has been divided into four semesters. For 1st , 2nd & 4th semester all
papers are compulsory where as in the 3rd semester a student has to take any set of 4 elective
papers together with two compulsory papers as mentioned in the above table
E. Project Report: In the 4th semester a student has to undertake a project on any corporate/
industrial issue with following important considerationsE 1. The project supervisor can be any MBA or equivalent qualified person from the industry or
academia with minimum 3 years of experience in the respective field.

E 3. The project report must contain a covering page mentioning the title of the study, university
name & logo, Name and enrollment of the student & Name and organization of the
supervisor with their respective signatures.
E 4. The project report must contain a resume of the supervisor signed by him/her.(Must be
attach after the Certificate of originality)
E 5. The project shall be evaluated in two parts i.e. out of 30% marks evaluation shall be done
by the project guide/ supervisor and out of 70% marks the evaluation s hall be done by the
University Examination Cell.
F. The evaluation of every paper shall be in two parts that is 30% internal through assignments
and 70% external through terminal exams.
G. The candidate shall be awarded First Division on securing 60% marks or more, Second
division on Securing 50% marks or more and failed on securing less than 50 % marks.
H. There shall be counseling sessions for each paper in each semester as notified by the study
centers as per the university norms.
