Bring On The Purple Stuff
RESEARCHERS believe they have found a group of vegetables and fruits that are
just as powerful as anti-inflammatory painkilling drugs.
Vegetables and fruits which are deep blue or purple – such as blueberries or
purple carrots – have the same anti-inflammatory qualities as painkillers such
as NSAIDs.
The magic ingredient appears to be a chemical found in the fruit and
vegetables called the polyacetylenes.

Antioxidant-rich Juices
RESEARCHERS from the University of California,

according to their antioxidant levels.
The claims floating around now of superior

The fish oils increase the body’s HDL “good”

abnormal heart rhythms, whereas statin drugs
work on attacking “bad” LDL cholesterol.
