The attacks of 9/11 left the United States in a state of disbelief and hurt. Im going to
explain to you about the day that changed the Nation. It changed the world and put fear
into the heart of the Americans, the American that has been known to be the strongest.

When analyzing the world's current situation concerning terrorism, it is difficult to say
whether the global war on terrorism has been a successful one. Since the September 11, 2001
attack on the World Trade Centers in New York City, George Bush, former president of the
United States, vowed to defeat terrorism. Moreover, to entirely grasp the subject, one must be
familiar with the definition of terrorism and it can be defined as an act of violence or threatened
violence intended to spread panic in a society, and to bring about political change. Terrorists do
not necessarily live in their native states, majority migrate to neighboring countries, and
countries and often go undetected. The logistics and man power it takes to combat terrorism is
immense, and it seems more evident that the global war on terrorism is not succeeding due to
essentially three factors. First, that The United States has created a terrorist haven in the Middle
East. Second, international support for the global war on terrorism is decreasing. Third, terrorism
has been on the constant increase since 911. Sept 11, 2001 changed the world forever because
the attack on the two most powerful economic symbols which was the Twin Towers World Trade
Center and the Pentagon.
On September 11, 2001, I woke up believing it was going to be a safe and productive day,
but sadly to say at 10:00 we were notified of the attack that have taken place on the twin tower
and the pentagon. At that moment, the directors excuse the entire office for the day due to the
attack and that our office was in the CDC building. I remember tears of fear and hurt falling
from everyone eyes as we watched the new as the twin towers collapsed. The attack was all we
heard on television and radio that current day.
Terrorists hi jack four jet planes and target was the world trade center and the pentagon, there
was another intended target but America do not know which government building, it could have
been the capital or the White House. The first plane crashes the plane into tower one and the

building collapse not know if it collapses from a bomb or something else. Unfortunately, towers
two was target and collapse. When the two targets were collapsing, the entire world was
watching the death toll rise to approximately 3,000. The third plane flew his plane into the
pentagon causing the pentagon to burst into fire and one side the pentagon collapsed. The attack
took the lives of 189 military personal and civilians. The fourth plane took place in Pittsburg.
The intend target could have been for the capitol building or the white house. However on flight
93 there were many brave passages that heard what happened with the prior attacks on the WTC
and the Pentagon, they refuse to go without a fight they took action into their hands. They had
courage to fight for their nation. They are considered heroes of flight 93.
The attack on America on September 11, 2013 was to destroy the freedom of America and
destroy the two most symbols of Americas power and influence. The pentagon is the
headquarters of the Dept of Defense (BBC). Both are powerful symbols of economic and
military mighty (New Nation). Days followed saw a significant effect on world economic
market confidence (BBC). In some instates they be fighting over power at the sometimes having
biblical disagree between countries. .
Al-Qaida and Bin Laden group who was trained and funded financial by the United
States carried out President Bush called America is now at war the attack. On the evening, the
President calls a war cabinet that included his top intelligence and military advisors, at the end of
the meeting the war on terrorism was official launched. This was the best decision to bring down
Taliban and Al-Qaida in retribution all attacked (Global research). After September 11, there
were many conspiracy theories regarding Sept 11, 2001 attacks. According to White some
critical scholars believe the September 11, commission did not reveal the truth about the

attack(White, 498). President George Bush, lied about the entire war situation, According to
Paul ONeil, Bush main focused was taking out Saddam Hussein from day 1 of his presidency.
President Bush called war on the wrong country and person. He called it on Sadam Hussein and
Iraq to hunt for Hussein due to war of mass destruction, but in reality he was finishing a job that
his father was unable to complete, the war of mass destruction was a lie to the America people.
Bush was supposed to go to Afhgafstan to hunt for Bin Laden. There were unanswered questions
for example: the president and vice president seemed to take an inordinate amount of time to
respond to the attacks, did the president or vice president give the order to shoot down the further
plan that crashed in Pennsylvania, why did the government blank out pages in the public version
of the report and what do they contain? These questions were answered in other venues and some
were the answer require speculation (White, 499). During Bush presidency only thing he
accomplish was making the United State broke, he did not capture the 911 terrorist but he did
capture and sentence Saddam Hussein and sencetenc Saddam to death. Many 9/11 conspiracy
theories surfaced shortly after the September 11th attacks, some bringing compelling arguments,
and some not holding up at all. Theorists believe that the World Trade Center buildings were
demolished by bombs, phone calls from the planes were made up, and the former President
George W. Bush secretly profited from the attacks. The World Trade Center collapse appeared
similar to a controlled demolition. Many speculate that the towers were in fact blown down with
explosives placed in selected locations. Some witnesses accounted hearing explosions inside the
building as they attempted to escape. Many architects and scientists even maintain that a planes
fuel cannot produce enough heat to melt the steel frame of the two buildings that collapsed
(newsone). On March 19, 2003, former American President George W. Bush announced to the
world that the United States and the United Kingdom would be invading Iraq. He stated that this

military operation was designed to disarm Iraq, free its people and to defend the world from
grave danger. America had seen Iraq to be a major threat against world peace as well as a
breeding ground for terrorists, and that it had to eliminate this threat before they could attack
again (balancedpolitics.org) . On March 20, 2003, a day after President Bushes address, The
United States and the United Kingdom began their invasion of Iraq. Although the invasion was
intended to disarm Iraq from any weapons of mass destruction, it was also aimed at uncovering
and eliminating any terrorist organizations within the country since several United States
officials accused Hussein of harboring and supporting al-Qaeda, the terrorist organization
responsible for the September 11 attacks (cfr.org). In fact, no weapons of mass destruction were
ever found and it was discovered that there was no direct connection between Saddam's Iraq
and al-Qaeda. Furthermore, while there was no concrete connection between Iraq and terrorism,
the United States and the United Kingdom decided to remain in Iraq and liberate its people.
Moreover, attacks on troops were being carried out daily and Iraqis say that these attacks were
being made by organized forces - motivated by nationalism, Islam and revenge - that feed off
public unhappiness. Instead of creating a more liberal and safe Iraq, what the United States and
United Kingdom had done was essentially bring more violence and terrorist activity to the
country. Prior to the United States' and United Kingdom's occupation, the people of Iraq were not
able to speak their minds, but what they did have was security and the basic amenities to get
through the day. After the occupation had taken place, the Iraqi people to this day fear being
attacked in their bedrooms; power, water, and telephones are routinely unavailable. Shiites,
which are a branch of Islam, supported the removing of Saddam Hussein from power, but got
increasingly hostile towards the United States' and United Kingdom's occupation of their
country. This hostility resulted in the creation of religious extremists within Iraq which have

told western reporters that they are prepared to carry out martyrdom operations if and when they
receive orders to do so. The United States and United Kingdom invasion of Iraq had not only
increased religious extremism in the country, but it was also used as a recruitment tool by alQaeda and other groups. The head of Movement for Islamic Reform in Arabia, Saad al-Faqih,
said that images of American soldiers and tanks in Baghdad are deeply humiliating to
Muslims. This humiliation is one of many things that tends to trigger deep anger for American
and British forces occupying Iraq, and ultimately creates terrorists.
Many families suffered from the loss of love ones and the one they lost can never be replace. All
of America suffered from September 11 attack, many gave there lives for there country, they
fought a war that wasnt theres from the beginning. The war was established on deceits, lies, and
deception. In the beginning many question the truth about the war.
