this is so BA! super good job. one thing though is it looks a little thick. that might be a look you are going for but if not maybe there would be a way to make it
a little thinner. not too much but just a little

Thats awsome man!!! O.O i wish i could make one but i know i don't have the required tools to begin this amazing project . Is there anyone willing to sell me

Very tight dude. Might I make a suggestion? Update that thin, under developed watch band to something like this: http://www.instructables.com/id/LeatherCuff-Watch-Band-Leather-Bracelets-101-/
I think it would balance the look of the watch a lot better, plus be more secure.

I *Always* break my watch crystal, and I am sooo allergic to nickle and copper - this would be an excellent solution to both my problems, while keeping
with the awesome mechanical style I truly love. thank you.

Pretty darn Steam Punk! Now, I just saw your iris watch. Will there be an uber cool iris google coming soon?

gogglerman says:

:)
"uber cool iris google" probably will not, however, I now begin to work on my next project. Let's see what happens

this is totally awesome, im planning on making one and am going to the supply store this weekend to get some materials,
one thing im stuck on is how did you get the rounded top to that shape?
i was thinking you used a door knob in brass that way its already formed.
if not please explain how you formed the rounded top please....
congrats,,, very nice work !!!

gogglerman says:

Jul 29, 2011. 10:45 PM REPLY

Processed by the edge of the dremel to achieve the result you want. Then has a part in drills through the two appropriate washers and processed the
sandpaper.
I wish you good luck

sounds good, you just gave me a great idea, !!!
to use the brass washers oversized and press them into a steel tube to get the rounded edge..... thanks a bunch i will let u know once i get mine in
the finished stage, i will take tons of pictures and do an instructable like you.
thanks for all the inspiration.....

Don't use "found objects". Brass (sheet or rod) buy at a price of 7-10 USD per kilogram. In my country with metals, no problem:)

recklesskiba says:

Jul 23, 2011. 10:09 PM REPLY

oh oki. very nice. i want to realy broaden my horizon on making different things. what tool do you use for the making of your items.

gogglerman says:

Jul 23, 2011. 10:17 PM REPLY

Use hand tools mostly. Just some electric.
Variable Speed Rotary Tool (Dremel 300 series), Small Angle Grinder (DeWalt D28112). Thin steel cutting (1 mm) and grinding-polishing discs,
abrasive nozzles and bits.
In General, just like everyone else. Hands are the main tool

recklesskiba says:

Jul 23, 2011. 11:08 PM REPLY

cool i just recently bought the dremel 4000 and so far it has been very reliable. i have been practicing making the mechanical iris with balsa
wood.

gogglerman says:

Jul 23, 2011. 11:22 PM REPLY

Practice is not very long ;) Go to the metal!

I wish you every success in their work.

wondering if I could still wind it if I did this to him or the Scotty
