Chairperson
: I am glad to welcome all board members to the second meeting of the
Domingo Company. Thank you, thank you for being present in this meeting. Can we call this
meeting to order?

: Yes

APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE:

Chairperson

: Are there any apologies for absence for todays meeting?

Secretary
: Yes, Mr Chairperson, Mr Chai Kuang is on medical leave being
admitted to the hospital since yesterday because of Food Poisoning. While Mr Clerence is on
business trip to Bangladesh.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING :

Azuan
: Yes, Mrs Chairperson. There is correction to the given quotation by
the semiconductor supplier. The actual price is RM 0.70 per unit and not RM 1.00 as stated.
Secretary
: Thank You Mr Azuan, Ill make the necessary correction to the
related documents. (writing)
Chairperson

: Are there any other amendments?

Witry
: Yes, based on the previous meeting, there are only 3 supplier are
willing to supply to our company. However up to last Friday there are one more company
who send their quotation to be reconsider. The item offered are still the same but the free
item comes with the packages are quite interesting.
Secretary

: Okay, I will take noted and let the manager board decided soon.

: Is there anybody else who want to add?

: Lets move on. Any matters arising?

Faiz
: Yes, Mr Chairman. I would like to ask on the task given from the
previous meeting. Which computer should we purchased for Domingo Company? Did
anyone did some research on this matter?
Azuan

: Yes, on my point of view, we should purchase MAC for our company

Shaiful

: (with dull face) Can you reason out your opinion?

Azuan
: Okay, based on my research, MAC comes out with their own
hardware as well as the software. Which means if we purchase MAC, it will be pre-installed
with its own operating system.

Shaiful
: well, I dont think that is a good reason. If we purchased PC, it will
be compatible with many software. For example software suit to the PC is the operating
system(OS) such as Windows, and LINUX.
Chairperson
: Okay, It seems that we have different opinion regarding this matter.
What is your opinion miss Hamami?
Hamami
: I do support As, because MAC offers features with greater security to
the users compared to PC which its security system is dubious.
Shaiful
: The MAC is secure in term of security, however in PC also have
security protection for example firewall and antivirus software. Those product have been
trusted by many user in term of against the threads.
Azuan
: haha.. we must bear in mind that all those security software need to
purchased and renewed every years. Thus it will increase Domingo Companys expenditure.
In addition, well known that both have roughly the same processor, but I found that MAC
offers a faster processor and much more efficient compared to PC which is a bit slow in terms
of speed.
Witry
: Yes, I agree with Mr Azuan,s opinion. most of work in our
department requires fast processing computer especially in Computer aided designs. From my
past experience MAC have met those requirements.
Shaiful
: But. Actually the processor that embedded in PC for example Intel i7
is already enough to support the system and our software. So I dont think that using PC can
reduce our efficiency in term of develop software.
Hamami
: MAC is also using Intel processors, but we must understand that the
maintenance of the high cost involved, but it offers a longer warranty period of 5 years
compared to 'PC' which is just over 2 years.
Faiz
: Ooo. I didnt notice that MAC offer a longer warranty period in order
to preserve the quality of product. In this case, I think MAC is a better product to be purchase
for our company.
Chairperson
: Okay, I think that we need to do some vote on this matter. Mr
secretary can you handle the voting?
Secretary
: Sure, Mr Chairperson. Who would like to vote for MAC? (delay) and
PC?(delay).. seems that MAC will be our companys computer.
Chairperson

: Great! Apart from this matter is there any other matter to be arise?

Faiz
: I have some reminder, as the president of Domingo sport committee I
would like to remind that all staff should wear their sport attire on this Wednesday. please
remind your subordinates.
