A. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the


students are expected to:
K (Know): recognize the action verbs ;
U (Understand): compare the action verbs to
other kind of verbs; and
D (Do): differentiate the function of verb as
helping or linking.

Selected students will act out an action word
written in a strip of paper and their classmates
would try to guess.
D. Presentation of the Lesson:
Ask the students what part of speech the words
they acted are. Give and define the three kinds
of verbs and provide examples for students to
analyze on the board.
Board drill and individual written activities will
be both facilitated to check the students
understanding.

Play the game Follow the Leader. Tell them to
follow what you say and do accordingly.

Ask the students what the different actions are

and the ing form use in each verb will express
the present progressive tense.
