We all know that hobbies are activities which help us escape the daily grind of life

and work and give us pleasure and peace of mind. Hobby is something that we will
do frequently, often, daily and I have a lot of hobbies like reading, cooking,
gardening, travelling; involving myself in NGO jobs. Besides, I love to listen to many
rap songs and I also do some part-time business. I also like to be independent and I
dont like to depend on others if I still can do the task by myself. My parents teach
me to be an independent person since I was in Form 1 by sent me to stay in hostel.
As I love to read so much especially English novel and motivation books such as
those written by Enid Blyton, Nicholas Sparks, Audrey Niffenegger, Cecelia Ahern,
Jodi Picoult, Mitch Albom, Dale Carnegie, Robert T.Kiyosaki and many more. I also
read many books written in Malay. There are too many to be listed and I love those
books. Reading increased my vocabulary and more confidence to speak with my
friends and lecturer in English. This is because my university is using about 90%
English in teaching and conversation; and 100% in presentation assignment, case
study and report. Im so happy when Im having conversation with my English
teacher in my secondary school and he said, Your English has improved
tremendously. I think my reading and my environment in university helps me a lot.
In addition, with reading Im become more confidence to talk with people as I can
share with them y knowledge that I know through reading. I still remember that in
one program held by my university, I can answer the questions confidently.
I love doing and involved in NGO jobs as I can help others who are needed. In the
same time, it also improved my communication skills to face with different kind of
people. Helping other people make me inspired as I can know and learned many
experiences they face which some of the stories motivating me and some make me
more aware with the real world. One of my experiences in NGO programmed is host
family. In this program, we are doing many activities together such as cooking,
cleaning the cemetery in the village, cleaning their mosque and exercising. Through
this programmed I can see its improving my communication skills and my social
skills with talking with people in any age. I really love NGO program as it will make
me be more grateful and happy to see them happy when helping them. In my
university, I join Reserve Officer Training Unit (ROTU). This extra-curriculum will lead
us to be the best leader in the future as it tough. In my university, there are not so
many students will join this extra-curricular as it quite hard and we have to spend a
lot of times in this extra-curricular. But Im so happy join this extra-curricular as it
shaping my leadership quality, make my body healthier as it involving a lot of
physical training. Training was not a big problem for me as I love vigorous activities
and they also train me to swim. Through this, every year I can make many friends
from differences states. So we can share our experience or activities in training with
them which comes from other states. In the same time this extra-curricular activity
improved my social skills.

After finishing my secondary school or my SPM I did a lot of jobs as for me time is so
precious. One of them was becoming a tuition teacher for primary students in the
tuition center nearest my house. At there, I was teaching English and mathematics.
For English, Im teaching them more specifically on basic grammar. Teaching them
grammar and mathematics in English in the same time, I can see my English had
improved in grammar especially. I was so happy working as tuition teacher as I can
help many students in their studies and at the same time, I can motivate them to be
extraordinary students. I also work as a cashier in grocery. After closing the grocery
my boss asks me to do some simple accounting to ensure the money or cash in
hand is tally with the money record in the book. I can use my basic knowledge as an
accounting student in my secondary school while doing that. While Im working, I
also took my car and bike license although its quite hard as I never drive or ride.
Im so happy after Im getting my driving license, I can help my family especially my
grandmother to bring her to any places she wants. Taking driving license improved
my life skills and makes me help others.
In my university other than Im involving in curricular as ROTU I also became a JPK
(Jawatankuasa Perwakilan Kolej or Committee Representation of College) as
treasury. I have to record all the expenses in program that we conduct and calculate
the budget for every program that we will be organize as after that I have to meet
people in the finance section. Since Im taking accounting so I could apply what Im
already learned. My job not only doing the treasury work as I also learn many things
in joining this program such as learned how to conduct the ceremony, how to deal
with VVIP for inviting them to our programs and many others. To conduct all
programs is not too much for me since I had an experience to conduct a program
when I was in secondary school as I was school prefect and prefect in my hostel. As
prefect, in my school hostel I also play role as treasury. This committee really
improved my leadership skill especially to deal with VVIP.
Moreover, my previous studies and my current studies are related. As for my
secondary school Im taking science social or accounting stream. I can adapt with
the knowledge well rather than my friends especially in the Financial Accounting
subject. In the university, Im also taking the same course. As Im in the part 1 in my
university so I had no problem to study Financial Accounting 1 as the subject are
just as the same as what Im taking in my SPM. My ambition is to be an auditor or
an accountant since I was in the secondary school I really hope I can further my
studies abroad. As I believe with good communication in English, it will make me
easily to work with any company when Im become an auditor. After finishing my
secondary school I only got to continue my study in local university with scholarship

so I keep my dreams a while. In my university I really love Financial Accounting,

Manufacturing Accounting, Audit and Taxation subjects.

For my last semester, Im taking Financial Accounting 6, which is an integrated

accounting. I did some case study and spill out on this subject all the accounting
subjects that I had learn since part 1 till part 5. This subject is really vital for me as I
have apply all my knowledge since part 1 including Taxation, Manufacturing
Accounting, Accounting Information System, Law and for sure Financial Accounting. I
really love study about accounting for company and group financial reporting. The
most interesting part that I really like is Issuance of Shares and Redemption of
Shares. In this topic, I had been exposed more on how company issues it shares to
the general public. In taxation subject I had been exposed more on how to calculate
tax and become a smart taxpayer. Im so happy to learn about taxation as I can
adapt what I had been learned in my real life. I really love with taxation subject and
inspired to study to know and to gain the knowledge when my lecturer, Mr. Alias
told me the story how his wife got penalty from LHDN (Lembaga Hasil DalamNegeri
or Result of Domestic Institutions) and he was not satisfied after he checking all the
statements. There were nothing wrong and no reasons for his wife to be penalized
and the penalty under sections that state in the statements is totally wrong. As my
lecturer is a taxation lecturer, he can remember all the sections that can be fought
with. He came to the office and meets the person who issued the statement that his
wife has to pay the penalty. After checking the statement, he apologies to him as he
wrongly did the statements. After Im listening to his story I said to my sir,
Fortunately you know all the sections, but Im pity to who dont know about all the
sections in the taxation they might be freely have to pay something they should
not. After that Im really happy to study taxation to know more specific knowledge.
My lecturer inspired me to be an excellent student in Taxation. Im so happy doing
that as I know when Im starting my work, I also will become taxpayer too, but I
dont want to pay tax without knowledge which is why I want to become a smart
taxpayer. Im also taking audit subject so I can learn more specific on auditor roles.
For sure I could be successful as I love accounting subjects since Im was in
secondary school as Im interested to know the knowledge more specific. I also
really love English so Im so excited to learn more. I believe if I could pursue my
studies overseas, I can master more in English language as to master a language I
need countless time spent on practicing the language and I need to do that as a
daily basis so with studying accounting in overseas I can improve my
communicating skills in English. I believe the environment will help me a lots. One

of my skills or specialty on me is my communication skills since every semester I

will be chosen as the best KI (KemahiranInsaniah or soft skills) student in group in
my university. Since KI is the compulsory program for all students. I also can teach
my peers well and can make them understand. Im happy become tutor for them.
Im a happy-go-lucky and amiable person so Im easily befriends with anyone. If I
become stress, I can control it well. Same goes to me if Im getting frustrated when
studying difficult subjects. I will try my best to control it as I believe even if I do not
understand something and it takes me longer to read I will go on learning as I know
that every minute and effort that I put in will be regarded as a good deed and virtue
by Allah and the kindness will be rewarded in some other forms.
