SCOPE
This document is applicable to:
Contracts which include the use of HGV for company business, g. Transportation of PLI products using
HGV, particularly road tanker and truck (carry more than 50% of PLI product) where PLI has direct control

in Land Transportation Safety procedure (PLI-HSE-G-05) and local/ regional procedures or work instructions
(e.g. work instruction QA P 29 Internal Safety Rules For Lorry Drivers).
In the countries where land transportation safety is governed by statutory regulations or national codes of
practice, these must be complied with (e.g. ADR European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of
Dangerous Goods by Road). Where the requirements in this procedure and legislation differ, the more stringent
requirements shall be adopted if not in conflict with the existing laws.
