Installation instructions
1. Download the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Beta Drop (Build 6.0.852.78) from
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=215477&clcid=0x409.
2. Unzip the files into a new folder. This folder is referred to as the AX 2012 Beta Drop folder
in the instructions below.
3. Navigate to the AX 2012 Beta Drop folder.
4. Launch, setup and install Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
5. Download the Project management and accounting add-in.exe file from
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=215476&clcid=0x409 into a new folder.
6. Extract the files into a new folder. This folder is referred to as the ProjectAddin folder in
the instructions below.
7. Click Start, and then click Run to launch a command line.
8. Stop the AOS: Enter net stop aos60$01 on the command line.
9. Navigate to the <AX 2012 Beta Drop folder >\ 60\Server\Microsoft\bin.
10. Run the following command:
axutil.exe import /file:< ProjectAddin folder>\ProjectFeaturePack.axmodel /layer:FPK
11. Start the AOS: Enter net start aos60$01 on the command line.
12. Launch Microsoft Dynamics AX. Select Compile and synchronize on the dialog, and then
click OK.
13. Continue with the steps in the initialization checklist.
14. Download the Project Management and Accounting Add-in demo dataset in the
6.0.852.78-contoso-SI-Beta.zip file from
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=215476&clcid=0x409.
15. Unzip and load the dataset from the 6.0.852.78-contoso-SI-Beta.zip file into Microsoft
Dynamics AX.
