Speak Unto Us Smooth Things

Isaiah 30:10; 33:14; 58:1; Acts 17:31; II Tim.4:3-4; James 4:4

A spirit of timidity is infiltrating the Temple of the Lord, so that I can scarcely
get through to My own people, let alone effectively use My servants to warn
the world of the peril it stands in. If My people will not heed My warning not
to compromise My Word, then how shall a lost and dying world repent at My
warnings of judgment? Will they not, rather, be lulled to sleep by the way
prophecies of end-time judgments are soft-pedaled, explained away, or
relegated to some long-ago dispensation?
"Speak unto us smooth things," say those who are asleep in Zion. "Tone it
down a bit. Polish your oratory. Modulate your voice. We need to be coddled
into deeper slumber. All we need is reassurance that our human foibles are
okay. Preach no more to us of everlasting judgment upon wickedness and
sin. Let the sharp Sword of the Spirit be dulled into a butter knife, and the
Holy Fire cooled down to a tepid bubble bath of pleasure. We will have no
more of your barbaric imprecations against sin in our midst. We are a
PROGRESSIVE church which shares in the collective human condition, and
only love matters anyway."
The pillow prophets and progressive preachers are at ease in Zion. Instead
of holding the things of this earth loosely and preparing themselves to leave
this world, they have sunk their roots deeper down into the corrupt soil of
this doomed planet. They accumulate riches and acclaim for Self. They
climb the social ladder up to a pinnacle from which satan shows them all the
pleasures of this earth and offers them for sale for the price of their soul.
Who will you answer to in the end, My people, some human leader who
compromises My Word with liberal interpretations, or that One Who stands
outside, patiently knocking and waiting to be let in? Did some ordinary man
die for you, or did I shed My own Blood to redeem you from the power of
darkness? So many have sold out their own Lord for the friendship of this
world, but have I not said in My Word that the friendship of this world is
enmity with Me? He who would have many friends and admirers in this
world must stand for nothing of eternal value and fall for any new fad that
comes along.
As My Spirit sheds light upon it, you know your own heart, Beloved, and if
your own heart condemn you not, then you have confidence toward Me. I
say these things not to condemn, but to encourage you to return unto your
First Love if you honestly feel convicted of My Spirit that you have distanced

yourself from Me, and from letting Me have the preeminence in your
individual life.
While I stand outside and knock, the party is in full swing in a compromising
church which has forgotten the very Reason for the Churchs existence. No
one in the cold Laodicean Church wants to cry aloud and spare not to show
My people their sins. Not one of them feels moved to weep over the
impending doom of this generation of evil-doers and backsliders. In a wellmodulated, cultured voice, Papa Preacher soothes the flock to comatose
sleep while millions perish. The world says that sin is an outmoded concept,
and my church has begun to believe it. Your refusal to call sin sin and
proclaim the everlasting burnings which are to come has cost many souls
eternal life, for how can they know what they stand to lose if they are not
told of their need to repent?
Pushover preachers and pillow prophets beguile My people with easy-toswallow platitudes about temporal blessings and My infinite patience toward
the shortcomings of man. Where in My Word do you read of "God's infinite
patience"? I have exercised great longsuffering toward an adulterous,
idolatrous, God-defying, Christ-dishonoring generation of backsliders and
sinners, but My patience WILL come to an end. There IS appointed a
definite time for judgment in which godless men and women who have
rejected My grace and mercy must be judged forever and ever.
The devil laughs at the impotent programs and events in My church which
replace the anointing of power formerly known to the apostles and prophets
and saints of the first generation church. Entertainment has replaced
intercession. Exclusive cliques have replaced fervent love one for another.
Pleasure has replaced penitence. Merriment has replaced mourning over the
sins of the saints.
How wonderful to feel loved and wanted. But better off is that one who is
willing to go forth without the camp bearing My reproach, when issues of
loyalty to Me are at stake. The day will come when those who have shut Me
out will learn themselves what it is to be shut out. Woe unto compromisers
who choose the approval of men over the approval of their first Master.
These are spiritually perilous times, Beloved, and popular does not equal
pure in My sight. Choices must be made, and I will not settle for second best
in any persons. sight. Hard messages will have to be proclaimed by My true
servants as more lights get hidden beneath bushel baskets and darkness
grows grosser in the earth. Any preacher who dares to raise his voice above
a certain pitch is labeled as fanatical. Any pastor who dares venture outside
the sacrosanct bounds of political correctness is speedily replaced with a

cotton candy spinner who tickle ears which desperately want to believe that
the clear warnings of My Word have either been mistranslated or incorrectly
interpreted. Hands desperate to hang onto sin and unbelief will seize at any
excuse to believe that hell is not real and the only real heaven to be gained
is right here on this earth.
If you could only look into the short-term future, my people, and see what is
to arrive upon the world scene within your own short lifetimes, you would be
shocked and driven to your knees in terror. Pleasing men would become the
furthest thing from your mind and you would return unto your first Love and
be accountable only to Him for what you choose to believe and practice.
Respect and heed the example of the elder believer who has much to teach
you because he himself has followed closely in the footsteps of His Master,
and holds fast to sound doctrine once delivered unto the saints. But if some
carnal, humanistic religious leader leads you astray from the truth, how can
you play follow the leader at the price of your own soul?
I have warned all those with ears to listen of the day of coming judgment.
Many scoff now at a literal interpretation of judgment scriptures, but it is in
the day of darkness and woe that those who fall away from the Truth will
regret listening to lies of compromisers and shutting their ears to the voice
of the true prophets and messengers of God.
