MINIATURE MODEL OF THE TYPES
VOLCANOES IN TERMS OF SHAPE

the previous activity)
II. Objectives:
A. Identify the parts of a volcano
B. Construct miniature model of volcanoes
showing its different shapes
C. Differentiate one after the other the
types of volcanoes in terms of its shape
III. Materials
A. Pictures of different shapes of volcanoes
with activity procedure printed on a long
coupon bond
B. Mud clay
C. 13X 13 plywood cut into halves
D. Cement
E. Latex Paint
F. Paint Brush
G. Label with parts of volcanoes printed on
a construction paper
H. Apron
I. Colored Pens

1. Volcano Model Internal Structure
Construction
a. Wear proper activity attire (extra
shirt, apron, etc.)
b. Remove the divider that cuts the
volcano into halves.
c. Using

pointed
instrument
(scissors, knife, etc.), construct the
internal structure of the volcano (see
picture for the parts).
2. Adding cement coating to the model
a. Sprinkle cement on all parts of the wet
volcano model about half centimeter in
thickness.
b. Let it dry in 24 hrs.
C. Day 3
1. Applying colors to the model
a. Apply the base color to the entire part
of the model using white latex paint.
Let it dry for 5 minutes.
b. Copy the colors as seen in the picture
given by the teacher applying color
shading and blending. Let it dry for 10
minutes.
2. Parts of the Volcano Model Labeling
a. Stick the label of the parts of the
volcano model constructed earlier with
glue gun.
b. Let it dry and put final touches.
