GRACE NEWS
SEASON OF THE CROSS
Today is the first Sunday in the Season of the Cross. Over the next
6 weeks, we mark the journey of Christ to the Cross by following His
steps. Many Christians use these 40 days to pray and fast; we join
them in a lifestyle that seeks Jesus always and sacrificially lives for
Him. Tonight, Pastor will preach from Galatians 2:20 and speak to
the call of Christ to us...He's calling us to the crucified life.
ALABASTER OFFERING TODAY
The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings
around the world. While we understand that the church consists of
the people of God and not a building , buildings erected for the
purpose of ministry help to provide a sense of permanence,
functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the
Church of the Nazarene intends to put down roots. Alabaster
funds help provide land for many Work and Witness projects, and
the entire Alabaster Offering goes toward the purchase of land, and
construction of churches, schools, medical facilities , and homes for
missionaries and national workers.
GRACE FAMILY DAY
Sunday, March 29, is Family Day at Grace! Following the morning
worship service, a family picnic will be provided and the kids will
have an Easter Egg Hunt! Join us for this fun-filled family
event! You can bring your donations of wrapped candy and plastic
eggs through Sunday, March 22.
TITHE ENVELOPES
For your convenience, sets of offering envelopes are available at the
Connections Center.
WORLD WEEK OF PRAYER MARCH 1- 7
The Nazarene World Week of Prayer is an annual event occurring
during the week that includes the World Day of Prayer (the first
Friday in March). During this week Nazarenes dedicate themselves to
interceding for our church and our world.
Coordinating with the interdenominational World Day of Prayer
(Friday, March 6), the Nazarene World Week of Prayer was begun
with hopes that this event would re-ignite prayer flames, deepen
commitment to prayer and fasting, and precipitate revival in our
churches and lives.
