Once, there was a king who lived in a beautiful castle. He ruled a small and remote land
in the east. He loved his sons and daughters very much. He would do anything to make them
happy.
One day, the children saw a big green turtle wandering around the garden near the
palace. They had never seen the creature before. They thought it was a monster. They were
afraid and started to cry. They ran to the palace and reported what they saw to the king. The
king was furious and ordered his servant, Go and kill the monster!
The royal guards tried to throw their spheres but they landed on the creatures hard
shell. The king gathered his men to discuss on the way to kill the monster. Lets gather the
firewood and burn this green master, suggested his head guard. The kings chief cook said, I

When the wise turtle heard this, it shouted, You can burn me or crush me with a rock. But
please, I beg you. Dont throw me into the sea. Im so afraid of drowning in a storm.
