DECISION IMPACTED BY INFLUENCE
Jesus was a man of influence. His world, His words, and His works were epitomized with influence. He never
forced anyone into believing in Him, He would rather influence them into taking sides with Him. Influence has a
way of changing an individuals view point. A church of influence is destined for growth. A man of influence is a
success in the making. A politician of influence will almost win unopposed. Influence is what creates a highway of
honor for a-not-so-known to walk through and become known and sort after. Rather than seek to be known, seek
to possess influence, and to be known will naturally follow. A man of influence is a rare gem. Now, there are flavors
of influence namely: financial influence, influence due to wealth, influence through wisdom, and genealogical
influence. Bill Gates of America has a global voice because his financial base is huge and the world is benefiting
from his money. Donald Trump can challenge the political juggernauts of America because of his wealth. Dr. Ben
Carson, the world acclaimed Neurosurgeon from the USA will stand up to speak and no one dare challenge him of
his correctness in neurosurgery because his wisdom in the field of medicine has made him an icon in the medical
field. If Prince Williams of England says anything in London today, it is almost a law, because he is a Prince and
Royalty. The influence of the iconic Evangelist of our century, Dr. Billy Graham, is so great that anything he says
on the salvation of souls becomes a statement of fact on salvation. Friend, Influence will create Institutionalisms.
Now, to Jesus, His influence was Power related. It is only Jesus that can give you the power to become a
child of God; that is power of identification with God the Father. It is also known as the power of relationship. It
is this relationship that defines your ultimate destiny in life, both on earth and in the hereafter. Jesus will also
give you power to overcome the common enemy, the devil. He will give you power to deliver the oppressed out of
satanic dominion and submission. That is delegated authority to influence unhealthy situations and circumstances
and turn them healthy again. If you relate to Jesus, His influence will impact you positively to automatically
become a person of influence. This is because influence is infectious. A man of influence does not struggle in his
field of endeavors because he has the affinity to command both man and resources to his end and they will obey.
Influence always speaks louder than words. In John 6, Jesus exhibited His power of influence and the people
unanimously came to make Him King over them. There was not going to be any election. By their words in verse 14,
there was a common consensus about what to do with Jesus, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into
the world. And Jesus reaction in verse 15 reveals the power of influence and what it is capable of doing, When
Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into
a mountain himself alone. Beloved, we all need the power of influence to create a sphere of influence for us.
When this happens to us, then Joyful Living becomes our experience to enjoy throughout our life on earth. Amen?
