the blue he marries someone else. Now he was back, he and his wife had been in a car
crash, she died and he was blind and embittered. Lauren tried to help him but he pushed
her away. His bitterness was not caused by the crash by marriage to a woman he did not

could never be anything between them and purposely frames Diane
A woman is transported to another world because she is thetwin of the evil ruler there
and the only one who can destroy her. She is told she has powers but doesnt believe it,

she uses these powers at crucial times, but feels they are coming from outside herself.
The Mages tell her they are her powers, but it is her evil twin who, by substituting her
own powers stops her from finding her own. The evil twin fools the mages because
twins feel the same - in the end she finds her own powers but they are insignificant, but

and kills herself in front of him, I do this to prove my love for you but love never lasts,

girlfriends are safe until they tell him they love him.
The Weaver of the Worlds
I remember
I remember a man roaring because he lacked a voice
I remember a woman poking seeds in the ground
I remember a voice crying in the wilderness
I remember everything
Despite the blankness, the vacancy of her eyes, no pupil, no iris, just milky whiteness her
fingers were deft and sure as she wove, but she is so tired, death is near and it will be a
good friend. The girl was chosen because she had suffered greatly yet survived without

bitterness. Each stroke of misfortune she thought would finish her but each time she
found the strength to go on. She can only take on the weavers job willingly, knowing
she will feel each joy, pain, birth and death she weaves. In the weaving are her children,
her husband, her life. When she does take on the task she and the old weaver meld and
she can remember everything and every thought of the endless and unbroken line of
weavers, back to a time when they were more and less than human. She feels her
consciousness expanding, absorbing everything until everything comes to focus on one
point - her small body
A woman finds a dying man, he says dont touch me, but she holds him and feels
something pass from him to her. She dreams of killing and wakes to find it is true. How
can she rid herself of it? If she kills herself it will only keep her alive until it can pass.
She jumps into a deep precipice where there is nothing for it to pass to.
At a wishing well a girl wishes to be away from her bitch of a mother. That night she
goes back to the days of chivalry. At first she thinks she has gone blind (there are no
streetlights and it is the dark of the moon) she is amazed at the quality of the air. She is in
the kings camp and they are convinced she is a spy (strange clothes, speech etc) but she
manages to convince them she is a minstrel from another land. She is astounded at how
good peoples teeth are, the stench inside the tents and houses, the lack of variety in food
and the amount of food the nobility eat and how brutal they are to underlings and
children, they dont even treat them as if they are the same species. She wants to go
back home and a fortune teller tells her the Holy Grail is the only thing with the power.
She knows Percival will achieve the Grail and attaches herself to him and guides him
towards if. She was in trousers and had short hair when she was found so she keeps on
her guise of being a boy. Women treated as if they have no brains and when men are
around they act stupid but when the men arent there they act quite differently. Clothes
and bodies unwashed, they even think dirt is healthy. Toilet habits, they have no idea
they have to wash their hands before making food. Hair stays clean longer because there
is less pollution. Towns are small and disordered. She buys something and her
companion is amazed she doesnt haggle - of course she gets cheated. How they eat eels
and brains. In the Arthurian court Guinevere is a spoiled brat who pits Arthur against
Lancelot for the fun of it. Arthur is a strong man who knows what she is doing but loves
her so much he cannot help it; Lancelot is vain, arrogant and foppish. Merlin is erratic
and eccentric. Morgan is the only one with any sense and tries to stop Guineveres
games, she is fun-loving but can be cruel and doesnt suffer fools gladly. In the houses it
is often colder and damper than outside, it is cold except right near the fire. Musty beds.
Rats and mice are ignored. How dark it is with the little windows. The king orders boots
for her and they are well made and comfortable, much more so than modern ones.
Armour is hot, uncomfortable and chafing but not particularly heavy, dont forget men
were shorter and less well fed then so it could not be too heavy. She is accepted as a boy
because she is so much taller and heavier than the women. Rarity of fruit except for
apples, pears, blackcurrants, in summer cherries and strawberries are greatly prized.
Plainness of swords and crowns, even the wealthiest folks wear plain and greatly darned
clothes most of the time. Farting and burping is commonplace and people dont even
think its bad manners, she set a new fashion for saying excuse me and using

handkerchiefs. People lived in the present and had little idea of history and what they did
know was all mixed up, most peasants didnt even know who the king was or what the
capital city was. Peasants never travelled. Lepers walked the streets in procession,
beggars showed their deformities outside churches, criminals were gibbeted and burned
in public and people would take their kids and a picnic for a day out to see the execution.
Gardy loo. Refuse and rats in the street; flagellants; witches; wise women; fleas; clothes,
how few they had; women frightened of being pregnant but also frightened of not having
children
Woman gets weird letters, phone calls, parcels. Someones been watching her in her
house, things are moved, taken one day and replaced the next, the police wont believe
her
A woman moves into a new area and makes friends. She is different, she stays in bed all
day, is rude and lazy, says she lives life by her own rules, the only opinion she cares about
is her own. She changes each life she touches, one who cant stand up for herself
becomes more assertive, one who is obsessive about cleanliness becomes a bit more laid
back, her friends thinks she is wise, profound, but they are all reading things that arent
there. She is just plain lazy, all her ideas, her witty aphorisms and philosophies are stolen
just to justify her laziness and selfishness, in reality she is shallow and vain.
Youre not made a vampire, its hereditary, they feed on fear pheromones. Childrens fear
is stronger, but the reasoning fear of adults is delicious for gourmets. If you see a pale
and nervous child it may be that theres a vampire in their life. Vampires still have to eat,
but like a person with protein starvation without fear theyll eventually starve. There are
good vampires (police, fairground workers, cinema ushers) who feed on the healthy terror
of gleefully frightened kids, who dont wilfully instil fear, but there are baddies, abusers,
murderers who drain the child of fear and then when it thinks it is drained of fear kill it
and coax the last and most avid fear. Teachers who scare their pupils, the aunt who
shows scary videos and tells scary stories, the authoritarian parent
Eve was working for Garrett as was her sister Jill. Jill got caught embezzling, Eve knew
Jill to be a wild child who had been in trouble with the police before and despite Jills
denials believed her to be guilty. Garrett made Eve a proposition, if she broke off her
engagement and married him to provide a mother for his son he would let Jill off. He
says he wants someone who will be willing to make it purely a business arrangement but
who will care for his son, but he wants the security marriage will give him. Eve later
discovers he had loved her from the first moment he knew her, framed her sister. He had
to hatch the plot to stop her soon to be wedding
Tanith had seen her parents destroy each other, they couldnt live together but they
wouldnt live apart. Her sisters marriage was hell and she had decided never to become
like them. She started working for Max, part of her work involved going away with him
to exotic, romantic locations, she thought she could cope, but could she

A girl is called to another world by four men. These men protect her and keep her from
four other men. She finds out that the men who called her to the world are the baddies
and want her for a special sacrifice, the others are trying to save her
Pack of dogs, all been mistreated or are outcasts in some way, beaten, neglected, starved,
made into lapdogs, abandoned. They go to the Gathering, the Calling, where Leader is
the punitive leader of the pack, but the little bitch Knowing is the power behind the
throne. She knows things, when evil is coming etc. The pack grows bigger and men try
to wipe them out, they are also preyed on by other animals - in the end they all decide to
die rather than be enslaved again. We always have a name with a meaning, we dont
name out pups until they show us that meaning, sometimes that name changes as life or
events change it. Hes a cade - to the free dogs the worst insult]
To be sure of who your father is wrong and unnatural, of course appearances give clues
but these are not conclusive
The pack needs everyone so they dont risk their lives unless it will save the pack

A family are guardians of a stone which holds the last remnants of earths resistance to
corruption, the last guardian dies and the new guardian does not believe in the stone, the
belief of the guardian enables the stone to withstand, to utilise its power to resist an
enemy, the stone has the power, but on its own it is a dead thing, it needs the heart and

gain the stone and it is up to a child of the family to regain it

Last Hope. The hope is her child and he must sacrifice himself, the pure altruistic
sacrifice that will save the world and is demanded by the gods. Their world is dying for
years there have been no children born, except for deformed ones, sickly ones who died
soon, ones strong in body but with the brain of an animal, ones with a mighty brain but
weak and flawed bodies. Obviously the woman doesnt want him to be sacrificed, but
there is no way back from that world, if he doesnt sacrifice himself that world will end.

All the way she looks for a substitute. The mother knows she will have to allow it, if she
stops the sacrifice he will die anyway and it is the cruel gods who demand that it is the
mother who sets the flame to his funeral pyre. At the last minute she finds that she is the

freely. A demon who wants to get in a place where theyre going but cannot unless
masked by a greater power, he promises aid but his price is first crack at one of their
enemies who defeated him ages ago. If he loses their chance of defeating him is lessened
for he will be alert to danger, awoken from his sleep of ages. Lilith, a being made of fire
and ice, passion and hate. The follower who seems to hinder them but is testing them to
make them stronger and able to bear what will come to them, without his tests they would
arrive too weak. A vampire who can remain unseen and get into places that should be
impenetrable, he asks for blood from the mother and child which fills him with might. A
spirit which they freed, he could help them if he wanted to but he was sullen and angry at
his long imprisonment, and purposely misinterprets their words. One who controls the
weather.
The boys mind is attacked, he is numb for a time but manages to free himself but the
invader is hidden deep in his mind, in a place the boy will not, dare not, venture, into the
heart of his power
A girl comes among them, she is powerless but will not leave, she has no magic but every
bit of magic they try on her leaves her unaffected, the magicians cannot see her purpose,
she has a purpose but will not reveal it. It is to give her life for the boy when he dies so
he may still live, this was the purpose for which she was created and there is no
possibility of her rejecting it, but life is sweet and she tries everything to avoid his death.

lake, brings them a talisman from a lake but at great risk to herself
While the company is in an enchanted sleep a lovely girl child wakes the boy and talks to
him, it is the enemy, the boy sees the girl is lovely but feels that she is ugly. Be my love
and kiss me, the girl says, the boy refuses and the girl transforms into a sad and dignified
and majestic old man I weep for the world, I would put it out of its pain, all is not as it
seems, you are not the saviour but the condemner, people will curse your name for all
eternity, if you let me I would save you, you will share my power. The boy refuses then
he turns into a handsome, fiery young man You have had your chance, if you do not

yield to me I will rend the flesh from your bones and torment your reaved soul at my
pleasure/for eternity. He shows the boy pictures of his mother having perverted sex with
a monster but loving it, pictures of him and his company being tortured and his mother
helping, pictures of the planet dying and all its people gone mad, but still the boy refuses.
The man says After an age this will all pass, but you, you will live for an eternity of
regret. The creator had all power but he had to let the friend and the enemy have equal
chances, the friend was allowed to choose who to summon but the enemy had three
chances to sway them, and he took these chances by becoming the young girl, the old
man, and the young man. The enemy comes to him in dreams showing him pictures of
what he would become if he allows the magic to grow, another enemy greater and more
powerful. The company tell him the enemy is afraid of his magic but he still fears to use
it.
The evil one told him he had given him the power and that like a muscle it would grow
with use and in the end it would grow too great for him and consume him. The boy tried
not to use it but he realised that even if the power came from the enemy it was not the
enemy, it was a tool and the enemy could not govern they ways in which he used it
Creation cannot be purchased through death. Power surrounded him like a cloak/
nimbus, blurring his features so that you could look at him but would not see him only
the power raging within him. At the end of the quest the boy goes to step into the flame,
his mother tries to stop him but he says it is the only way and it must be done. From
where he stands he can feel the heat of the flame and does not know how he will ever
find the courage to enter it, he steps nearer and his hair and his flesh begin to scorch,
blisters appear and he is in terrible pain but his will holds and he steps into the flame, as
the flame lashes him for one wild moment his magic erupts and he is cooled, healed and
shielded, but his last sanity forces down and quenches the magic and the pain takes him
over, he feels his flesh melting/charring from his bones, his marrow frying, then all pain
is gone and he is in a cool and green garden, his life is not needed, the intent is enough
OR at the last moment his mother,. weeping, lights the bonfire and he steps nearer, but
she throws herself at him and pushes him away from the fire, summoning her own magic
she starves the fire of oxygen and tells him that for the magic to have effect the fire must
be lit by her hand and she will never do that, the rest of the world means nothing to her
and even if everything will die she would have her last moments with him, the creator
tells her that this is what will save the world, not sacrifices, but the kind of love that takes
no account of anything else
Music is magic,
the leader is the Chantress, her voice is high and gay, dark and powerful, she leads the
Chanters. By the beauty of her song she denies death, her song fills everything so that
there is no room for magic to enter as she sings they feel the incipience of the magic
striving to gain a hold but the voice of the Chantress swells and lifts, and still the power
of the magic rises, she raises her voice to new heights, it swells to levels she thought
impossible but even as she strains the magic reaches them, the might of her song
rebounds on her leaving her numb and voiceless. Even though she could still sing she is
unable to, she never thought she could be mastered

The earth spirit is in terrible pain, she summons three people, she is failing, she cannot
directly intervene or aid them or the spirit of evil will also be able to do so, by
summoning them she has taken a risk, for the Spirit of Blight will do the same. In the
east the stone of evil exists, it has existed since before time, for without evil there can be
no good, now it has fed and spreads evil.
the evil one had summoned up a fearsome demon, the evil one had died in the ritual and
the demon was free, without a master. The good magician had imprisoned it in his own
body, but it ate him from within, changing him, struggling for freedom or mastery, if it
gained control it would have his powers as well as its own. It was only a matter of time
before it won, daily he weakened, his only hope was to find the ancient ones who knew
of rites to imprison the demon, but Baal who had once been a god but whose powers were
now weak also knew the rites and he wanted the demon for himself. Anyway, the ancient
ones might now be dead, or if not dead in a sleep from which they might not be aroused.

constantly having to take Edith into consideration and has to be careful of her easily hurt
feelings, Edith is constantly sneering at others and looking for slights where none were
intended. Edith shows her pictures of her daughter who committed suicide, telling her
that she was a great daughter and idealising her childhood, she finds out that she was an
extremely domineering mother and kept her daughter tied to her apron strings, until in the
end the daughter felt that the only way out was suicide. In the end she is at the end of

her tether, she has taken on responsibility for Edith and is now her only window on the
outside world, Edith says I dont know what Id do without you, you gave me a reason to

dining room which is set for a meal He sees a man enter the house and the woman stands
stiffly, awkwardly, frightened as the man looks around, the man wipes a finger along the
top of a shelf and inspects his finger, he walks into the dining room and looks around, he
steps over to the television and puts his hand on it, it is warm, he advances on the
woman., she puts her hands over her face, coldly the man orders her to move her hands,
and she stands still as he delivers slap after slap, slaps intended to humiliate, to show she
is under his control. The boy cant watch any longer. Next day he calls at the house
offering to do any odd jobs, he helps the woman to tidy and falls in love with her, but he
is just a boy and she has no idea he knows about her husband. He kills her husband and
she is accused and despite the fact he loves her he is too much of a coward to go to the
police. Because she was so scared of her husband and kept the boys visits secret and
was not allowed to have visitors there is no-one to corroborate her story. The husband
sometimes checks her shopping receipt and insists that she gives him ticket stubs and

describes films she has seen, sometimes he goes through he shopping receipt with her and
she ha to show him every item. He checks caller id every time he comes in and if she
says it was a wrong number he sometimes phone them back to find out if it is someone

A group of bored women meet, their husbands are always working, theyre bored and
frustrated. We should start and escort agency, its the only way were going to meet
eligible men - become hookers. All they do with their time is lunch and shop, what fun if
they money they spent was earned that way. Theyre all well off and between them they

Watching a sit-com on which four women were sitting around talking and had to say what
they loved about themselves, the adverts came on and I thought about the programme and
realised that there wasnt anything I loved about myself. I wasnt strong, I wasnt clever,
etc. I decided my life had to change, I was going to seize the day, help others, maximise
my potential -LIVE. Comic escapades ensue until in the end she realises you dont have
to love things about yourself - as long as others love you and you love others.

The Seven Deadly Sins all live together, and theyre bored, theyve done everything, seen
everything
James was a professional man, he was used to mixing with hard-headed, well-presented
women and he had married Jane who had her own successful career. They thought that in
their prosperous well-ordered life they had everything they wanted. Then Isabel moved
in next door, her husband had died leaving her well-off but she was a mess - over-weight,
blowsy, needy, disorganised. Jane met her and found her laughable and pathetic, but she
touched a chord in James and he began to help her - she nurtured and supported him, he
protected her. To Jane she was fleshy and obvious but James found her child-like and
enchanting. First paragraph - as usual on sat morn Jane sat with a cup of coffee in her
hand watching her avenue. The removal van drove up and Jane was amazed - the four
poster bed, the chandelier the ormolu mirror - was someone opening a bordello, it was as
if someone was trying to push the contents of a stately home into a three bed semi, then
she saw Isabel, flapping about like an aged bird of paradise/geriatric parrot,
Jane - every moment she isnt in action she counts as a waste, sat morn she relaxes, this
isnt a waste, it allows her to be more effective the rest of the time, elegant, efficient,
super-strong, no-one every really stands up to her always dresses in black and white,
beige and brown
James isnt really a weak man but Jane is so strong, he didnt really want to marry her,
in fact he didnt really want a second date, and secretly quite disliked Jane but there was
no way he could refuse her. However, she makes his life run so smoothly , comfortable
he doesnt rebel. he meets Isabel and is enchanted, she listens to him, needs his
protection and organising Isabel goes from one blunder to the next, she is slightly
overweight, but thinks that exercise is torturing your body. her husband was much older
than her and he let her be feather-headed, she had servants so she didnt need to be
organised, she is scatty and however hard she tries when she is dressed up she always
looks slightly uncoordinated or overdressed or inappropriately dressed or looks as if she
needed five more minutes to get ready - for instance when she has a blouse which is
slightly small and gapes or her button has fallen off she sews it on with the wrong colour
cotton or uses a slightly mismatched button. Her house is filled with expensive furniture
but nothing seems to belong, she cant understand that less is more, or that what looks
right in a magazine or in Blenheim palace will not fit in her semi. doesnt have any idea
who to get things done but has always found crying very effective. Jane thinks she is
hopeless and tries to organise her but Isabel pretends she doesnt even notice. Jane is
exasperated and feels sorry for her, she usually only bothers with people who can help
her but with her being a neighbour and well-off she doesnt want to snub her in case she
needs her in the future. Isabel loves strong colours, red, blue, orange, yellow, purple.
She smokes I enjoy it, if you want me youll have to put up with my smoking
In their own ways Jane and Isabel are both equally selfish, people are frightened of Jane
but are frightened of upsetting Isabel, Isabel isnt frightened of Jane and maybe that is
why Jane finds her so appealing, Isabel just refuses to acknowledge any of Janes
demands. people darns refuse Jane but wont refuse Isabel. While Jane is telling people
how sorry she is for Isabel they know that James is having an affair with her and gloat
inside because they dont like Jane
Jane invites Isabel to a party thinking theyll find her quaint and pathetic but they find her

funny, refreshing and touching, she wants to be liked, cares what people think about her ,
these are things Jane sees as weaknesses. really the two women are two sides of the same
coin, no-one ever refuses them, Jane bullies and frightens people into doing what they
want, Isabel cries, emotionally blackmails and whines till she gets her own way.
Isabel in her eagerness to be accepted will agree to do anything hoping something will
come up to prevent her having to do it, she accepts invitations then doesnt turn up. she
lost a little weight and bought a lounging suit it was too long so she had to turn it up,
when she came to do the second leg she found she had cut 4 inches off the sleeve.
Jane has a cruel sense of humour, she likes to mock people and especially likes it if her
remarks go over their head but everyone else understands them, this demonstrates to her
that she is cleverer, wittier than her victim. Apart from an appreciation of slap stick
Isabel doesnt really have a sense of humour so to be sure she laughs at everything when
anyone else laughs. At a dinner party James tells a joke and everyone laughs, Jane asks
her what she is laughing at, at first Isabel smiles at Jane thinking this is a joke, but she
becomes confused and embarrassed, unable to understand why someone she thinks is her
friend is being cruel to her, Jane expects everyone to laugh at Jane but they rush to her
defence claiming that they didnt understand the joke and it wasnt funny anyway, it is
clear they think Jane was needlessly cruel and instead of looking good in their eyes she
feels demeaned, they think she was poking fun at someone who wasnt sharp enough to
defend herself.
Man has a girlfriend and he finished with her and she starts stalking him and persecuting
his new girl friend. One night shes spying on them, the cross the road and she follows
without looking, she is run down and he runs to her, she is dying. Her last words
are Ill never give you up.; She dies and he thinks he starts to hear her voice, see her in
crowds, smell her, when watching tv the people look like her, and one night one of the
characters turns to him and starts talking to him, he is confused because the words could
be part of the play but they seem to apply to what has happened between him and her, e.g.
our love will never die, it will go on beyond death etc. Even death wont stop her
stalking him , there is no way out for him, mortal concerns dont bother her now, there is
nowhere he can hide from her, she needs no rest or food, no one can punish her or stop
her, he is at the end of his tether and even then he cant escape her for even in death she
will be waiting for him
a serial killer kidnaps a novelist, he tells her he wants her to write his life story and that as
long as she is useful he will keep her alive, he wants fame and has for years been creating
a secret identity so that he can escape but still secretly know that he has fame
